Today, on a Very Special episode of Blosso... err.

I mean, greetings and salutations from your resident cache of old, embittered know-it-all Moon Mages.

Said know-it-alls have decided that what we really need is a party, a shindig, a soiree, a hootenanny, a pow-wow that may not end all pow-wows but will at least make the rest of them blush and shuffle their feet awkwardly.

To that end, seven of us have gotten together and pitched our time, effort, and money in for a Queen's Wedding package that will be used to throw a grand Moon Mage bash with blackjack and ho...well, really neat stuff. Said neat stuff will include an incredible set of door prizes just for coming, some trivia and raffle-type games with nice prizes and one or two alteration vouchers that will be given away to some lucky novices. This will be in addition to the usual lecture and debates you've come to know and love (or at least not horribly resent) at our meetings.

To that end, I'd like to ask you all what you would like to see at the party. Suggestions for the gift box are encouraged, though I have a vague idea of what I'd like to see if it's allowed. If any of you have nice ideas for games you'd like to see, post away.

You may all thank the generous and gracious Traim, Vonagan, Malzard, Kougen, Mozzik and Skaen for helping make this awesomeness possible. We're still planning on reserving this for after the Lyras stuff is over if possible, so keep your eyes peeled for a date and time.

I'd like to see some sort of contest / game of who can make the best prediction (RP wise) off of a single observation.

Moon Mages who get hit with HULP should indulge in their Survival Secondary side and run away.

If it's an RP'ed prediction contest why would it matter if it was a single observation? o.O

Tokka would be good for this since everyone gets to see whats going on and follow along. This seemed kinda popular at the Riverhaven shindig where Caelumia was offering predictions, up until she decided to kill someone in the middle of my turn. I STILL WANT MY STORY!

Keep that up and your story is gonna be about Foresee and the twelve partial displacements.

I play a Moon Mage. As long as its partially entertaining, do you think I mind? ;)

But to keep this mildly on topic, there should be things that maim/kill/hinder you in grand Moon Mage fashion. I vote bobbing for bolts.

A tkt version of darts would be awesome. Hell, I'd volunteer to be a target for a round or two just for the laughs. 10 points for the eyes, 9 for neck, ... 1 for chest, kind of thing.

I should have anticipated responses like "telekinetic dart throw" but somehow, I did not.

I like that idea. I wonder if it would fly.

TKS roulette is also a classic, if we're going the FATALITY! route.

If at least one person doesn't die horrifically during this Pow-Wow, I'll be grumpy as all hell. On the other hand if we manage to scroll the death window for a few hours I'll be a happy happy camper.

We need a Grazhir shard there so we can play Astral Plane chicken. Whomever can stay in the longest without dying wins.

Unfortunately, your suggestions will need to be reasonable for a wedding area. :P

While I can get them to shut off safety wards and allow violence for telekinetic dart throwing, I probably can't get them to shut a teleport ward off.

It'd be better if we had each MM go in with a non MM and the game is how long the non MM will last before freaking out that they're going to die.

You guzzle down some Gaharzen Grog. Suddenly, your insides feel all warm and tingly. Then your eyes open wide and start whirring around, and sparks fly out your ears before you jump and turn a flip in mid-air, only to land flat on your back! Ow!

An item swap would be kind of cool. I've got a handful of moon mage related items in my vault I never use just because they don't really suit my character.

I'm not sure if it would be too time consuming but you could do some thing like a grab bag.

I was thinking we could have a quick and dirty trivia thing where people get to pick their prize from a list of stuff people have donated, since a lot of people have expressed interest in doing this.

This will be in addition to some other raffles and games.

Psst....

Since the package is bought and most of us have the items and stuff hammered out, it would be really great if people could post a general idea of when they'd be available for a party.

I'd like to accommodate as many people as possible, so please post the dates and times you're most likely to be available (or the dates when you definitely won't be if that's simpler).

We should borrow a shard and use it instead of a mundane gate to... filter the guest list.

Unless you can provide me with an extremely compelling reason why you should be allowed to come, the portals will be strictly Moon Mage only. I may consider allowing some non-Moon Mages in as a part of the "wedding party" but you would not be allowed to participate in any of the raffles or other give-aways, since those are just for moonies.

Hi guys,

We need to know when people will be most available for the party. Right now we are tentatively thinking either the 16th (Friday) or 17th (Saturday) of October, some time in the evening probably after 8 PM EST. Are there any preferences for a day or time? If no one posts we'll just assume everyone else has no life on Friday and Saturday nights and schedule things however we like.

I dedicate Fridays and Saturdays to bringing joy to the local bartenders, so I vote for Sunday.

Fridays and Saturdays are good, but I'd be late if it was a Saturday at 8ET though. 10ET or later is usually better on Saturdays.

Weekend day? Likely.

If I end up on graves? Almost certainly.

More worried about travel time since my commute is miserable and right in the middle of prime time for this sort of thing.

Ah well, we'll figure it out.
