This Friday the 11th at 8 EST there will be a (sort of) impromptu visions and prediction lecture in the Crossing Moon Mage guildhall, one west of Kssarh.

The first part of the meeting will be a sort of Visions 101 lecture focusing on how to dismantle and interpret event predictions and random spontaneous "OMG SOMETHING IS HAPPENING" visions. We'll hopefully segue into a bit of a discussion on fate and prediction lorewonk/theory then talk about prediction tools for a bit to wrap things up. The whole thing shouldn't be longer than an hour or two, but it depends on who shows up and how things go as always.

Note that the purpose of the lecture won't actually be to discuss the meaning of specific visions, but rather to give people a theoretical basis and model for interpreting them on their own. I'm going to try and either write my own set of visions or dig up some old and irrelevant ones to present and analyze as a group for practice so the discussion doesn't devolve into "OMG NECROMANCERS!" again.

Hope to see y'all there.

Speaking of this, we have an interesting new vision to interpret...

You focus inwardly searching for insight into your future.
As your vision clears you see an Elf lecturing a group of students, gesticulating wildly at a variety of star charts and divination tools. A cracked and bloodied sandstone bowl lies next to an unconscious and bleeding student. A fierce growl comes from the east, followed by the sound of breaking glass and a muffled cry.

Be afraid,

So you believe the muffled cry is Caelumia too? :P

I really have trouble seeing Kssarh forgetting to open the window before tossing them out.

I mean he's had a LOT of practice. Thus we have to assume the breaking glass and muffled cry is something else. To stick with the divination tool theme and because it makes me happy I'm going to assume Kssarh finally looses it and beats Mortom with his own mirror.

Who says he forgot? Perhaps he felt a bit of extra punctuation was needed.

That would be a quandary for Kssarh. Cause damage to his precious observatory or throw a student through a window. Hmmm...

I want to thank everyone that showed up tonight. I think we had around thirty people there for most of the meeting, and we had some good participation (even a little from Kssarh apparently). Hopefully the information that got presented was useful to most of you.

In retrospect we should have split up the visions and tools lectures up. The people who endured through both have my admiration and sympathy.
