As mentioned awhile back, a few of us have been discussing ways to make the pow-wows of yore a more regular thing, and to enable as many people to attend over time that feel like doing so.

So from here on out starting this month, there will be two Moon Mage-oriented gatherings a month, one every other week. One has been going on for awhile - Malzard's vision meetings down in Shard, which are and will continue to be aimed more toward sharing and interpreting visions and will also lean more toward informing and involving non-moonies with regards to visions.

In addition to these now, in the first week of the month (usually) there will be a gathering happening in the Crossing guild, one west of Kssarh. While the visions meetings are more inter-guild and give everyone a chance to show off what awesome Seers they are, these will be more intra-guild and enable a bunch of Moon Mages to get together and act moonerdy with each other. This will give people a time, a place, and an excuse to get together and share information on current events, ask questions about guild abilities or lore, find apprentices or masters, and just generally roleplay a bit. I'll try to bring a bag of questions and subjects to each meeting to prompt discussions and I encourage anyone interested to bring short lectures or questions of their own as well. The meetings will probably end up taking about an hour each week, so it won't be a huge investment of time, and since they'll be happening regularly there'll always be another opportunity to catch the next one if you miss one.

The first meeting will be happening this Friday the 8th at 9 PM EST. This is a trial run of this new format and I encourage feedback and suggestions both before and after the meeting. This is something a few of us have been working on on behalf of our little community, so it's really up to you guys to make this work or not.

I hope to see you all there.

Just a reminder - this is starting tonight in about half an hour.

Try not to use any sorcery while you're here.

Kssarh laughs manically. "It's too late for you! You've already advanced too far in your own bloody guild," he cackles, pointing a bony finger at you. "You will be a Necromancer forever!"

A nice first meeting! Lasted about two hours and had a good amount of participation.

We covered some basic guild history for the newbies asking questions, then went into discussing the recent vision and how to dissect it, and finally started talking about name lore and how constellations and stellar objects get their power.

It was extremely loretardy and I want to thank everyone that came and participated. See you all next month!

It was a very interesting meeting. I liked Caelumia's history of the guild, was concise and interesting. When she dies all her lore-fu should be embodied in a new version of a Y'Shai, one that sits around and spreads information when you ask it questions.

Something like that

Caelumia as a Y'Shai is a horrible horrible thought.

Let us never speak of that idea again.

>> Caelumia as a Y'Shai

I see nothing that could possibly go wrong with this idea.

As long as Kssarh gets the talisman that controls her, I could find a large amount of humor in this. I ofcourse would be advancing in other guild halls.

The first time she died I think half the realms would throw a party.

The other half wouldn't get why that would be a big deal.

Half? You give people a lot of credit. I don't think most of them would get it. Heh.

You're right I likely overestimated how many would get it to an equal degree I underestimated how many would throw the party :)

At first glance I could have sworn that said "It was extremely leotardy". ::shudders::

You know someones going to hunt you down and kill you for suggesting this, not only will it happen, but they'll be a moon mage posted at the door handing out Leotard rentals to those who don't have one.

They'll also be a stand located inside the meeting with lunar flavored leotards for sale.

P.S. If I see a bat-winged skull leotard I'm stabbing you in the face personally.

How do you know this so specifically? You got stock for sale?

I wonder if a gm would just pop up an NPC outside the guild doing just that to make everyone twitch, heh.

Tezirites for the win!

Though I do agree with you that we have some GMs with a sick sense of humor.
