If its going to be something else it needs to be a spell in its own right and divorced from enchanting.

Unleash never really made sense to me, Cage of Light is better suited for it. Cage of light harnesses the energies of moonlight into a protective barrier, IOTS harnesses the energies of the planets directly into our bodies. I'd rather see it stay even if the planets are a bit wonky.

I was thinking about this the other day, I'd rather see Mirror Wraith come back but as an entirely different function than it was originally intended either as some guardian type spell like Sanyru Llyabel(I totally screwed up this name or something) or as something similar to what Fury was going to be. A day cyclic equivalent of SLS. Could use mind magic instead of actual attacking to make it different, make it attack physically, or some other variant.

I would pick up Unleash in a heartbeat if the scroll destruction part were removed. It would mean giving up a hand slot to be able to cast any spell I can collect the scroll for, which I would totally do (despite being a 2HE user). Heck, I'd give up both hand slots.
Imagine if we could use it with spellbooks too. It would give us a reason to be that old school mage chanting over an open spellbook!

I might still use it with scroll destroying if it reduced backfiring, but the destruction thing is really what kept me from it. Scrolls are kind of rare, and I just found myself never being willing to take one out for it.

That's the sort of decision you, as the caster, needs to make. The only concession I'll make is if you cast on an invalid target (a set moon for example) the spell tell you so and let you try again without reprepping. If any of these spells are lacking that let me know. Except teleport or MG, because, well - those aren't as forgiving.

I'm not exactly sure how much of the percentage is lightning based but STRA does lightning and puncture damage.

I don't see why there can't be a default state that can be overridden by the caster. I got so annoyed with myself for forgetting to input moon names with COL and Contingency that I wrote a script for them. So it won't affect me any, but for everyone else it just seems kind of punishing and for no real reason. (I understand keeping Teleport/Moongate as they are.)
One other request. Is there a reason that SEER is still not replace-castable? I know that we can now simply release it and recast, but it seems like an extra step for no real reason when most other spells are replaceable. Same goes for any other non-replaceable spells (AUS?).

Neat idea but the implementation sounds a little clunky. I'd probably just write a cyclic called Multiply and have it turn any single target spells in the area into Area spells.

Thanks for the update, Raesh. SLS, IOTS, Shadow Web, and Scry (still up for the future?) are incredibly important spells for the guild imho, so I hope they don't get pushed too far down the list.
SLS is definitely our most potent PVP tool in 3.0, in the form it was before it was pulled. It ate mana like crazy, but it was a great way to really work disablers and TM into an extended fight against opponents that also needed to be dispelled, or have huge mana casts to get past barriers.
IOTS is our only stat buff-enough said.
Since you're keenly aware of the power of cyclics as a bard designer, you will understand that shadow web as a cyclic disabler would fill a very important niche for us.
Scry--Find the hidden without searching in their specific room=invaluable.

I don't see a reason they can't be replaceable. Let me check with The Powers That Be to make sure there's not some reason I'm missing and I'll convert them over. Anyone want to throw together a list of what spells this includes under 3.0? (No, I haven't looked that closely at the code of most Moon Mage spells, my main involvement has been going in after specific bugs).

Thanks Raesh, also I cast a shadewatch mirror about half an hour ago and a few other people looked through the mirror - then I released it and the spell ended for me but the other people continued to get the messaging as if the spell was still up. It took them logging out to stop it - moving to another room didn't work to end it.

Hmm unfortunately that log (What I saw of it, I don't have time to go through it line by line) doesn't show where they were watching with the mirror - which is the most likely source to break the spell. I think.
Please let me know if anyone else manages to replicate this. Information that'd be super useful:

Who it was cast on
Where that person was
How did you break the mirror? (break, wander off, etc)

I dont' know if this helps or not...but other infomation the poster didn't tell you. My moon mage was on ratha, watching that room via a moonbeam via DG. I don't know if that added to the mirror bug or not. I know DG had a bug for me at the time, where DG wasn't active but I was still seeing.

Seriously though if you experience any bugs like this the single best thing you can do to help me find it is to have a GM capture all the effects on everyone involved for me - If they get the varfields too even better (They'll know what you mean if you ask them to send me a copy of your effects and varfields).
