Yavash (Mag1) is unobscured by clouds.
The moon Yavash (Mag1) forms a perfect circle in the heavens.

The insight gained from your prior observations floats gently through your subconsciousness. You intuitively draw the relevant details to the forefront of your mind, using them to nurture your current efforts.
While the sighting wasn't quite what you were hoping for, you still learned from your observation.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

I don't recall ever seeing the bolded line before. Usually it's "You learned something useful from your observation." It's also not the message that happens when one pool is full but another pool was filled: "Although you were nearly overwhelmed by some aspects of your observation, you still learned more of the future."

Did I somehow fail a skill check, on Yavash of all things? Is it RTR specific, maybe?

That's either the "you got a partial success on the skillcheck" message, or the "you failed the skillcheck, but the moons and the sun always give something" message.

I guess it's possible to roll a complete snake eyes on a moon even with high skill then. I might miss getting an observation on a planet maybe once a day, but on a moon... that's embarrassing.
