Yeah, I don't know what the base SO is, but I find the only people who complain about accuse issues are those who hang out in town. My Necromancer lives in non-justice zones, and has never been successfully accused.
Still though, I'm curious why there isn't a cooldown on accusing a Necromancer if they aren't in town? It seems to me that even if a Necromancer was fading in and out with EotB, that a single person shouldn't be able to raise suspicion more than once anyway. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought each time someone accused you, whether or not they succeed, your SO increases, meaning if enough people accuse a Necromancer in town, even if they're hiding, eventually, someone should be able to successfully accuse easily (assuming the Necromancer comes out of hiding)

Yes, I believe SO does increase slightly even with a failure. But look at all the what ifs there, If you have more people to accuse the necromancer, if they stay in town, if they're not hiding, etc. The system is easy to avoid, as you admitted, so easy in fact, that I imagine that's why there is no failure on an Out of Town/Hidden Necromancer.

Being a social outcast (staying out of town) is about the same as just scripting 24/7. It's just not very interesting. Which I was trying to point out in my initial post. I know i'm not very subtle and deserve alot of the heat i get, but I think it would be much more interesting, and lead to more necromancer RP, which they said they want. The bony filgia example that was stated would be cool, or like that grey assassin that came out of shard to vanquish people.

<<When successfully accused, you're pretty blatantly told what happened and that you should get out of Dodge ASAP.>>
I have it hilighted with a sound string. It goes Burn him! <or Burn her!> at which point you run like hell out of town if you're in town., and go on the lam for however long it takes for the heat to die down, turn yourself in and pray you can be found innocent. well, try to pray at least . <heh> At which point you Still have to cool your heels for awhile, not use any city services, and hope that a few days later they're not still lookin' for you.

I really don't know how many times I can say this, but the social structure exists for Necromancers and other ne'er do wells. You just have to look and not expect it to come to you.

Not even remotely the same thing.

No it's not.

It sounds like Necromancer RP is not for you. I suggest you roll a different guild. Your complaint is basically amounts to, I can't play the way I want within the RP structure of the guild. This is no different than someone saying "I can't first strike/steal as a paladin, because of the paladin code. Please change the code."

Necro Guild in Prime was by far one of the most supportive of newbies guilds I ever came across.

This is a bit funny because of how the code may or may not be changing.

You assume alot. The thing about opinions is that everybody is entitled one. I RP alot and for the most part enjoy the way I undertake the RP for my necro. I was simply stating I do not like the auto-kill mechanics of the feature. Will it go away? probably not. You are more than welcome to role play your necromancer in your image of proper RP and I shall do the same.

This probably won't be believed but quite the contrary to the GM posts and Guildmates posts , I never use EOTB. As it was the only thing that ever outed me . I hate it other then a combat spell.
Reason being stated is I run through towns all the time . And there is no IC reason , right now , for the townspeople to hound me.
I think just being paranoid is enough to get you in trouble .

<<Don't sit in place, and EotB is aces.
This. Even if it happens to unluckily pulse a message as you move through a populated room, by the time they get around to searching or hunting you're probably long gone if you're moving. At worst they'll know that a Necromancer is around, not who they are.
That said, I think RF runes can provide another option for those who are especially paranoid.

If you are running to a safe place , like the guild , sure. Or from an angry mob , sure. Combat wise it's great , non- held mana. It's useful to not be seen . But to move about even in hunting areas , or other non-justice zones , releasing/casting it carries the chance of giving you away. I would have reached my destination by the time it takes to cast it up , then cast it down.
Also , it's suggested for a lot of beginners and some of those don't know not to linger for even a little time , out of town even.

RF runes are the best thing since sliced bread. I always have at least a dozen of them on my person at all times.

Why does this thread remind me of the picture I made before Necro release?.....
