Just want to throw out a big thanks to Thayet spearheading the increasingly awesome Philosopher Meetings. They seem to keep getting better every week. And props to the GMs behind tonight's festivities, Necromancer events are always fun and welcome.

I just want to second this. Kudos.

You guys <3

It's really a group effort. It's awesome to see people coming by more and more often to offer up theories or dissenting opinions, suggesting tests, sharing information, all that stuff. I have met so many cool people too. I have been really impressed with the showing from the community and that's all you guys.

The event stuff the last couple weeks have also been VERY exciting so thank you to the GMs as well!

Just curious as a younger Necro, is it worth coming to these meetings? And is there a good way to "figure out" where to go?

I consider myself a younger necromancer. I am now circle 21 started to go to these meetings when I was only circle 15ish maybe lower. In my opinion I wish I went earlier then that.

Simply put they are more rp then anything else. Necromancer questions are answered. Concerns are brought up. There was a contest run at one meeting not long ago. They are also a social event more or less. I personally have been very impressed and thrilled with the meetings.

Anyone who knows who my character is and saw me at past meetings might be surprised by this as she has barely said a word at most meetings.

As far as where they are. Our hall in the crossing area in the common room the room with the bucket. They seem to be going on every other Wednesday at 10pm est. Not sure if that will always be the case as I am not the person running them.

One final thought. I hope to see you there.

Where they are isn't really a secret at all: it's the Commons Room in the door just past Markat in the Crossing guild, in the room where the bucket is. They'll continue to be every other Wednesday at 10 PM EST for the foreseeable future since that's the time that seems to work for most people. I try to post reminders here and on Twitter and if you want to drop me an IM I can also poke you in the face the evening of.

Newbies are both welcome and encouraged to come especially if you have questions about things either lore-related or mechanical as this is supposed to be a resource for people getting into things as well. Your opinion and your input is not more or less valuable because of your circle or level of experience with the material either. Peoples' PCs do posture sometimes (because that's how Necromancers do) but you should never take that as an indication you should be just quiet or fade into the background. I also try to nudge or pick on people who are quiet or new (sorry not sorry) because it can be intimidating to just jump in sometimes.

I've been overall very impressed with the nights - this is the sort of discussion and character prodding that should have been more prevalent years ago.

Not a spoiler or such, but the last assignment of bringing a piece of harvested material and discussing why it was relevant to the Great Work was an awesomely fun exercise that people did a stupendous job of really running with. I was certain the entire group had coordinated, given how different and cool each persons little spiel was. I highly, highly encourage Necromancers of all sorts to come and chat.

Politics or not, I'm still operating under the illusion that my necro isn't "out" yet, so I feel that may affect who of us show up to fight.

Also, if we go down, we die, which still partially risks spell scrolls (at least marginally?.) That is reason enough for me as well.

Though my necro is no noob, im still getting use to properly using their spells in general. With that said, I am unsullied as well somehow still. I will be at the next meeting for sure, any and all input would be beneficial. Will see you there!
