Had not noticed annihilating or demolishing strikes before, ussual crit strikes were massive, devestating and apocoliptic. Very nice.
Side note, smite seems to be fine to use anywhere in a combat sequence except after feint, your get a solid balance loss if used after feint.

Ok.. someone clue me in. I'm obviously doing something wrong when trying to use smite.
As I understand it.. I'm fighting.. feint/draw.. smite (no spell prepping) and I should slice with a boost.
I'm not getting that.. and when I concentrate to see the power..I see I haven't used my smite ability at all.
Is there some trick to this I'm missing?

As I understand it.. I'm fighting.. feint/draw.. smite (no spell prepping) and I should slice with a boost.
I'm not getting that.. and when I concentrate to see the power..I see I haven't used my smite ability at all.

...there's no spell involved.
The command is SMITE.
And put in a sweep before the smite. Since smite is a super-holy-infused-slice, you need to just replace the slices with smites.

Since you're not feeding enough power into the spell pattern to make it coherent, you quickly work your way to the minimum required.
That won't affect your current attunement very much.
You briskly utter a few sharp words in an arcane tongue, your mind bent to the task of preparing the Smite Foe spell.
You accept Sanlin's challenge.
You gesture at Sanlin.
You feel a twinge in your soul, but since you are in a challenge you have been pardoned.
A brilliant stream of pure white light jumps from you to Sanlin, warping into a hammer-shaped force that slams into him!
It lands an apocalyptic strike (So that's what it felt like when Grazhir shattered!) against his chest!
As the hammer-shaped light silently explodes, you could swear you hear a voice whisper the word "Justice".
Roundtime: 2 seconds.
As Sanlin slumps unconscious, you back off. The challenge is satisfied!
...he then told me he had 23 stamina. D'oh.

Dig helps with preps, plus other non-magic stuff, so I find it very useful. I'd love MO, but one needs to be 50th to enjoy the marshalness :)

Historical that Paladins have an offensive spell unencumbered by Lanival's Compact, and well appreciated for that .. I haven't had opportunity to determine how effective it can be. But I'm trying, dammit! Heheh.
