I think our spells are pretty great overall, but there is some room to make them better or spruce up the ones that aren't that great. I have a list of my own suggestions that I think would make a big impact, but I also want to know what spells others think might benefit from some attention and how.
Here's my list (changed spells in bold):
Alamhif's Gift (AG): Add health/mana restoration and cooldown; +1 slot cost
Anti-Stun (AS): Make standard spell type rather than battle
Aspirant's Aegis (AA): No change (until barrier rewrite)
Banner of Truce (BOT): No change
Bond Armaments (BA): No change
Clarity: Add group cast functionality via 1 slot metaspell
Courage: No change
Crusader's Challenge(CRC): Change contest to mind v. will; make standard spell type rather than battle; add failure messaging and way of checking cooldown (“tauntsauce”); remove cooldown trigger on failure; lastly, make it so taunted foes are pulled to melee
Divine Armor (DA): No change
Divine Guidance(DIG): Change to metaspell that adds Wisdom buff to Clarity
Footman's Strike (FST): No change
Halt: No change
Hands of Justice (HOJ): Make HoJ usable against stealthy targets caught engaging or attacking from hiding; prevents re-hiding for a short time with gesture (mind v. will)
Heroic Strength(HES): Change to metaspell that adds strength buff to Courage
Holy Warrior(HOW): No changes
Marshal Order (MO): Same disc buff, but now allows the caster to draw inspiration confidence from within, allowing him/her to invoke some of the benefits (i.e. self-lead); functionally, it enhances lead such that it confers the benefits of group number + 1, so self-lead is the same as lead with one person in group, etc.; change to ritual spell
Rebuke (REB): No change
Righteous Wrath (RW): No change
Rutilor's Edge(RUE): Rename to Rutilor’s Armaments and make it castable on shields like BA; add easter egg for smite and holy weapon
Sentinel's Resolve (SR): No change
Shatter: Make shatter replaceable
Smite Horde(SMH): No change
Soldier's Prayer (SP): No change until barrier rewrite
Stun Foe (SF): No change
Truffenyi's Rally (TR): No change
Vessel of Salvation(VOS): Allow the sphere to follow the caster and rename the sphere to “vessel” or anything else so it doesn’t get mixed up with SLS; add meta-spell that allows the caster to toggle the sphere to work its magic on the least healthy targets until depleted
Veteran Insight(VETERAN): No change
Some of these are minor, but all of them would change the guild for me in a big way. MO would now make lead more useful and would give us a really great new ritual spell. CRC would probably eliminate any complaints about the lack of a ranged buff. I'd actually want to pick up HoJ and would find more reason to use AG. VOS would become an awesomer triage spell. We'd consolidate a few buffs and become more desirable in groups. Lastly, the minor shatter change would eliminate the idle casting time issue in PvP and therefore the complaint about extremely limited options due to diminishing returns.
