I am not sure but I have never seen a missle firing weapon Ie crossbow, longbow as a holy weapon... it would be a grand thing tho... however I dont think currently that is a possibility... mainly because its the ammo you bless to make you have blessed hits with a ranged weapon... the holy weapon factor would be tied to the actual crossbow not the ammo... so i dont think it would work correctly... but would be grand if it did... having a ranged weapon that would allow you to hit noncorporeal undead without having to bless yer ammo would be an excellent addition to Holy weapon.

There are differant levels of Effect to our Holy weapons... and it seems based not on circle or on charisma directly... but on our soul state. With a reduced soul pool I have still had my weapon roar to Chadatru... circle and charisma both increase your maximum size of your soulstate... but you can artificially inflate it as well.

There are levels of soulstate above pristine... pristine is a range.... and by doing certain things you can "push" your soulstate up enough to roar Chadatru... even if you have the very minimum charisma required to obtain the glyph of renew.

Most of the time I can set myself up for roaring Chadatru by protecting... The soulstate bonus provided by protect is often enough for me to then be able to roar Chadatru. But I have been working my charisma a lot lately.

soulstate seems to have a level where it wont fluxuate once it is at... I call this Base Pristine level... you can push your soulstate above this... and have stronger leads and be able to have a larger soul pool. This pushed up level will bleed out tho back to base pristine after a lil while tho... if you're doing a lot of good deeds you can build this bonus up... but you get less and less "good deed" bonus to your soulstate every time you do a good deed...
I've also noticed that some good deeds "reset" your soul state bonus... IE i can be roaring chadatru with my weapon... and pray to my pilgram badge... and have it reset my soulstate to the level of base + badge pray... which for me currently, is not enough to roar chadatru... My weapon then sparks silver again.

So how do you maximize your goodness?
I'm working on this one now...
maybe someone can take it from here who has already worked this part out?
or maybe every good deed you do resets your soulstate to the base plus the last good deed... which means the best way to roar chadatru for the longest period when pushing your soulstate to enable the roar... would be praying to chadatru altars.

Someone who is more experienced on soulstate effects and "pristine plus soulstates" could maybe chime in on this?
