So I made my crossbow my holy weapon, and it doesn't work, is there anyone out there that can undo the quest for me? Or somehow deholyweaponify my crossbow? And maybe at the same time allow me to holyweaponify another weapon(next time, staff sling!)?

Unless things changed ranged weapons that fired ammo could never work as your Holy Weapon,and I could have sworn when u put it on the altar it rejects it. You sure its your HW? aka messaging that indicates it as such (the glowing). If it is giving messaging and you can't go back into the door to put a new weapon on altar sounds like your bugged and you need to assist.
I may be out of date on this as well, but I thought when using the normal "Bless" spell it gets put on the ammo not the weapon. So blessing a crossbow does nothing but blessing the bolts does something, which would explain then why your HW DSX does not work because your bolts are not what is the "holy weapon" doing the dmg to the creature.

Well I put it on the altar, it didn't get rejected. I dont get any messaging that would incate that its working however. That being said, I was able to... recharge it with Renew, and when I focus on it I sense the faint traces of magical properties.
So I figure its most likely my holy weapon, and the fact that I dont get any messaging when I shoot it is just indicative of the fact that weapon is broken, and not that it isn't my HW.
Maybe the next time i'm out on Kresh i'll see if I can find the altar again and put something else on it.
