having your weapon holified in my opinion and observation makes it easier to hit stuff with it...

I can hunt with my holy 2hb which has poor balance and make more hits then a simularly ranked weapon with better balance.

Holy weapon is great for a secondary weapon class...

it adds to damage when hitting.. and adds to your chance to hit... not confirmed by any GM but sure is obvious by my own usage...

My weapon does roar Chadatru all the time tho... so that might make a differance in how noticable the effect is.

Holy weapon recharge spots are what we are lacking... please fix that.

I feel the Holy weapon script applied to your weapon when it is made holy could be added to as well for more flair and function.

for instance Being able to RAISE my mallet should provide a light source in the area in exchance for a few charges.
there are many many light sources now... so this is mainly what i would call "flair" but showing off is fun ta do.

there are GMs skilled enough with weapon scripting <just look at the dwarven mutating weapon sold at auction> to be able to add to holy weapon in simple ways... and create an altar or some such item in game to facilitate the updates to peoples weapons.

Holy weapon was meant to be a physical manifestation of our holiness focused into a weapon to imbue it with special holy effects...

why not let it do that in more then just attacking?

There is a lot of potential for holy weapons.

They could interact with our spell casting. A bonus to our prayers would be nice but even just a cosmetic effect would be something.

They could interact with our glyphs. Again, a bonus would be nice but a different manifestation would be something.

They could have some verbs thrown in. We could pray with them or wave them around inspirationally when invoke our Lead ability. Anything paladiny would work.

Sadly, they are just slightly buffed weapons just as the GMs designed them to be. Thats why they sit in vaults, thats why people put off the quest, and thats why I call them fluff.

<<there are GMs skilled enough with weapon scripting>>

I agree but they are busy doing big things and holy weapons are obscure and unique to the pali. Those GMs wont be involved unless everything else on their to do list is done and that never happens. Solomon is reworking our spellbooks because of the big magic restructure. War horses will change when there is a big game change horse/familiars/companions. The ?Masters of Defense? will stop being terrible at learning evasion when there is a big combat change. Any improvement in the pali guild will result from improvements to game as a whole.
