Lord General's Resolve (or something catchier)
Spellbook: Sacrifice?
Type: Cyclic Augmentation/Warding
Circle: 100+?
How it works:
While active, the spell continually ticks away at the paladin's spirit health and soul pool; however during that time, the paladin is virtually invincible through the protection of the gods. Once the soul pool is empty, the spell will fail. Same with the spirit health, but obviously you have bigger issues if that happens :). When the spell is released, all wounds will bleed as normal, so it's one that the paladin should use only in extreme situations.
Might of the Protector
Spellbook: Sacrifice
Type: Metaspell
A paladin who weaves the might of the protector meta spell into the Lord General's Resolve will active transfer their vitality to a target they are actively protecting in combat, but at the cost of their own vitality.

I think that "totally invincible" is probably a bit much(read: way over the top), unless the spell drains at a much faster rate that most paladins would be happy with. A more limited invincibility is more reasonable. In a previous discussion I had proposed something similar as an antinomic sorcery spell:

Briefly:
Revenant taps into the essence of the divine as well as the concept of eternal life to make spirit death an impossibility. For the duration a characters spirit can be drained into the negatives, but they will not die unless vitality is reduced to zero or they suffer a catastrophic wound. When the spell ends or if they die with the spell active AND they have a negative spirit health the spell will convert devotion into spirit until they have a positive value (allowing the cleric to survive the spell if they have enough devotion). Doing so will release a backlash against all foes that remain at melee and pole range. If they do not have enough devotion to generate a positive spirit they will suffer a spirit death.

Might of the protector sounds interesting. The Sacrifice chapter is pretty bare; could use more cool spells.
Regarding Lord General's Resolve, I just don't think invincibility works in DR. In PvE, invincibility might let you escape a hairy situation only to kill you once the effects wear off. In PvP, it's usually so costly that it limits your ability to do anything else and it serves only to annoy your opponent until he inevitably wins. Berserk Volcano is a good example of this IMO.
