Sometimes quick reactions without careful observation lead to mistakes.

I was not at the meeting in any form whatsoever... I greatly appriciate the logs. Thanks.

A few things... I've seen feathers drift in like this ib certain past events of note... then it was a herald of Albreda... a calling for calm and reassessment. A confirmation. And an indicator of the Gods' presence. I would think it was a reinforcement of the statement issued just before its appearance.

The guildhall in Crossing... The soulstone arches CAN be circumvented... it is known by few... but it is very possible someone could have been observing the meeting for their own information gathering... who that could be at this point would be a long list, with the list of reasons for it being just as long.

There are quite a few things that can trigger our "Sixth Sense." Beyond being assessed for the value of our coin purse, there are those who can asses combat aptitude(a skill we should have) and there are other ways to trigger our sixth sense that are more mundane... such as starting to stalk someone then switching to someone else then repeating quickly... Someone could spook a whole group of Paladins like this... if they were skilled enough to avoid revelation by our sense... and adept enough to avoid direct perceptive inquiry.

And a personal comment... We are not, as a guild, bound to the immortals above all else... or truth... We are bound by oath to uphold the standards of our guild... At least... when I joined that is how Beren explained it. To me that means... we are bound to uphold lawful justice, holy practice, truthful persuit and loyal servatude... with rightous intent. We are duty bound to find balance between these should a situation arise where we must choose the "most rightous" of possible actions... Not just what The Gods would have of us... nor what the law decree... but instead... take up the banner, heft the pennant, and act as we see fit... accepting the consequences of the outcome. We are granted great gifts of power with great responcibility, yet we are allowed to wield these gifts as we see fit... with the understanding that we are not released from one part of our oath in serving another... An example... You may kill a thief to stop his assasination of your squire. You act in protection of an innocent, and one you are bound to in servatuditious(sp) oath... however you still have broken part of your "Pledge to the Standard" in the killing of one of the 11 and will feel deep in your soul, the falure by you of keeping your oath to not slay one of the 11. This has always been the most difficult part of being a Paladin. This is the reason we are both punished and praised, reviled and revered throughout history... The choices we make now will potentially alter that standard forever... and I would hesitate to hasten this without much deliberation.

I for one will not allow my suspitions, my desire for Godly praise, my personal honor or my desire for power over others to entice me to uphold one standard above another... To do so would be to break my oath entirely, and that would deem me something else other then "Paladin."
