In the interest of saving a few sanities, I'm going to toss out a couple of very vague hints to the current events:
(1) The fact that this event began around the same time necros were released is absolutely 100% coincidental.
(2) Bards are not the only outside guild that might have information of use to paladins. Check out the main Events folders under Teasers for even more vagueness!
(3) What happened to Ezruh was clearly very important, and certainly the aftermath even moreso. But a few things happened beforehand that are equally important.
(4) Not everything is as it appears. Just because someone says something is true doesn't make it so -- especially if there is strong reason to suspect that person is of less than sterling moral character. You know, like known murderers radiating auras of ultimate evil and stuff like that. Just saying.

Trader and Moon Mages. Especially Traders and the rumor mill. Someone please get on this. Dwarves especially.

Oane was purged by the Hounds apparently.
Speaking of the Hounds, does anyone else think it's really bizarre HOW they killed Ezruh? Is that method standard procedure? The method seems a little shady to me. Quoting for emphasis
>>The Hounds of Rutilor are seeking a heretic, and I was told you might know where to find him," he says grimly from behind the anonymity of his visor. Ezruh rises and starts to open his mouth to speak, but at that moment a powerful wave of fear fills the room, leaving you as paralyzed as Ezruh appears to be. The shadows around you begin to shift and move, seeping out to fill the room with unpenetrable darkness and an unimaginable sense of horror. Just when you think you can bear no more, the shadows slowly fade back, revealing Ezruh crumpled beside his desk in a pool of blood. The armored man wipes blood from his broadsword and quietly sheaths it before turning to leave.
Oane was skewered with a spear and clerics were called to do rites against "evil" which they did. And the Hounds took Oane's lifeless body away. Liurilias perceived no necromantic taint on his corpse, however.
Just an update after thinking some things over and talking with Madigan, Kraggur and Valynn.

Raesh gives Terra wings. And then rips them off and beats her with them.
