A calming silence spreads amongst all throughout the grand hall as the Chamber Announcer approaches the crier stand to speak.

The Chamber Announcer clears his throat lightly and then begins to speak, "Let not the speakers of this open discussion be interupted by shouted grievance or applause. Any attempts at violence shall be forestalled by Godly influence and punishment for such an attempt shall also likely be of divine origin... Let us now begin this forum of discussion on the topic proposed."

The chamber announcer gestures towards the first to speak and with an expression of complete indifferance, he calls out, "Sir Henredet, Speaker for the Ishalorito family. Notable Paladin of the Realm."

A middle-aged human, clad in shining platemail adorned with the crest of the Paladin Guild wrought in dwarven silver alloy approaches the speaking podium and after a short moment of silence, begins to speak...

"Those of you who feel there is but one proper moral view. One true code of ethics. One way, which is with humility, to serve the paitrons of our faith... the Aspects of light. Those of you who are known as Paladin... should organize in preparation for what could be the greatest threat to ever face your nobile guild... No, this threat doesn't herald from demons bourne from another dimension, nor a foriegn land's vast invading army. Nay, not a world-devouring dragon... This daunting foe which threatens the very existence of your hallowed hall has not risen from dusty crypt or disturbed grave... but from within the ranks of your own bretheren. Moral corruption, flawed interpetation of honor and twisted sense of duty describe these heretics' beliefs... and if these dark faiths be recognized by the Council of Paladins, what will result? Will you, Paladins of the Light, accept those who would embrace the dark... and call them... "Paladin?"

Subtle mummerings reverbreate throughout the gathered in attendance as Sir Henreder steps down from the speaking podium to rejoin the now stilling crowd as the Chamber Announcer begins to call out the name of the next speaker in line...
