i think having guardsman and guardswoman is just silly.

a female guardsman is still a guardsman, the title is generic.

Gonif,

Too many people have petitioned for female titles. Don't try to get paladin titles taken away just because you can't use Heretic.

Thanks.

I agree about the female titles. I dislike seeing "journeywomen" walking about. But I might just be weird. I call female actors "actors" and I call female flight attendants "stewards" (or "flight attendants") and I prefer the terms "police officer" to "policeman" and "firefighter" to "fireman"... Just to avoid "policewoman" and "firewoman" because they feel demeaning to me.

Just reminds me too much of Smurfette.

glemm, it has nothing to do with "heretic". And until or unless you are female, I don't think you have a say in the matter.

Heyo,

>>And until or unless you are female, I don't think you have a say in the matter.

Just because one of your characters had a sex change from male to female doesn't make you any more, or any less, of a female than Glemm :)

has nothing to do with characters. Unless you think glemm is really played by a big green tog, and that i'm really played by a s'kra mur.

in which case, you need to get out in the sun more often.

I don't know about you, but I'm a Gor'tog in real life.

A female one, at that... and yes, I like the women titles.

All flight attendents are stewardesses. Even the men.

Guards are just Guards, not guardsmen or guardswomen.

All police officers are simply cops.

In the movies, all firefighters are men. At least from the movies I've seen.

All of the actors in the Field Actor's Guild are....

No one is forcing you to use the titles and there are plenty of others to choose from.
