So, I recently went premium, and decided to play around with FST. At first glance, I think this is a really neat spell. I love the messaging, and how it interacts with our holy weapons. Got a couple questions now though. I'm going to try and find the answers myself, if no one gets them first, but I'm not a data guy, collecting and coalating results isn't my thing, so I make no guarantees. The questions are as follows, if anyone wants to work on them, or has the answer already...
1) The messaging for holy weapons, is it using strikes?
2) If it is using strikes, is it doing more damage? I would assume so.
3) Do the stats of the weapon affect the damage? I know it affects the type, piercing weapon = piercing spell but, does a more damaging weapon cause more spell damage?

No, the Holy Weapon message is purely cosmetic. We did consider adding some sort of bonus during development, but it's already pretty strong and versatile for a first-tier spell.

No, only the type matters.

No, the Holy Weapon message is purely cosmetic. We did consider adding some sort of bonus during development, but it's already pretty strong and versatile for a first-tier spell.

Wow, thank you for the reply. I was planning on doing all sorts of horrible data stuff, wasn't expecting someone official to just give me the info :)
I'm still gonna be doing some testing though, just curious as to how the damage compares between FST, energy bolt, and strange arrow. I'm sure STRA is probably stronger, since it's a 2nd tier spell, but I'm curious how much stronger and, how do bolt and FST compare damage wise.

Additional question. Does the number of ranks you have in the weapon in -hand matter? I was trying it out over in plat with a very low-level that had 2 ranks in light blunt with a cudgel <from louts> in hand, seemed to do as much damage as when I cast with claymore in hand.
I like the messaging. Very cool spell.
