Thanks Z. Much appreciated. Nice little change with no downside, makes common sense and has been a weird issue for a while.

Thanks for the change. I had a worn soulstone that did melt on me maybe two or so less years ago. Soulstone clasps w/o the stone would be a nice item to add to the Ratha Paladin shop for maybe 50 plat?

cool story bro:
several years back there was a bug where you could rub <item> with soulstone and the item would glow, not the soulstone. it gave the verbage that you rubbed your armor and it glowed, etc. Pretty cool, right?
So I went out and destroyed my soul. I then rubbed the item with the soulstone and the item would melt rather than the soulstone. Had a fun day going around melting people's items that they would let me hold, telling them that I was cursed.
Someone reported, Royce made me tell him how I was doing it. Bug was fixed. No more fun.
Good times.

I was wondering if the tortured soul soulstone drop rate has actually been tweaked to be "4x as likely to drop". I have killed over 250 tortured souls, 100 exactly with a weapon and the other 150+ with TM, without a single soulstone drop.
It takes me approximately 2 seconds to kill them with a TM spell whenever one appears, so its not too time consuming. But I would expect with the drop rate changes to at least find 1 out of 250 kills, unless the percentage for finding one is under 1%.
Any possibility of having this looked at?

Even if it was upped to a 1% drop rate there's an 8% chance you wouldn't find one in 250 kills.
That said, that drop rate seems excessively low for something that's kinda important to a paladin with few other options to acquire them.
Dartenian says, "The thing that makes Dragon Dance king is that it pretty much bonuses every single that can possibly be buffed for combat. Including at least two things that don't even exist."

That could still be a 4 times increase, they were extremely rare.

Between me and Semgrey (I think it was him) we killed about a thousand of the things over the course of about two hours trying to get one for a novice paladin and never did. :\
I'm glad the drop rate got raised but I still wish it was easier or that they were sold somewhere convenient.

The only post I ever saw on the drop rate was 300/stone. Not a confirmed figure and that post is probably 3-4 years hold.
Next time I take a "squire" to get a soulstone, I will run a counting script.
