Aspasia's ultimate shield training program! on 06/08/2003 08:05 PM CDT
Well since I took peoples advice, changed up my stances, and bought some lighter armor, my skills have been moving mad crazy. I've gone from a wimpy 47 ranks in shield to 71 in about one week, and went from a pathetic 6 ranks in LP to 26 in the same amount of time. And the good thing is, my evasion hasn't suffered at all since switching to shield. It sill locks like mad crazy. What works for me is switching between parry and shield (100% stance) and keeping evasion at 80% stance and up. I found it's not a good idea to play with evasion lower than that, you get unballanced way quick. Hence the reason why I kept getting killed by stupid weak crocs this past week.

Keep that shield moving, its well worth it. For normal training, I keep evasion at 44% with shield and parry at 100% (yup I train with HOW, sue me) and still fry evasion nicely...now, to get PARRY to get somewhere...
