Yeah... there seems to be a problem with all of my Toggish characters. It seems that they all seem to have a +2 overall stat modifier instead of the normal +/-0 overall modifier that's normal for all the other races. Can this be fixed please?

It's...been like that. Overall, Togs have a penalty to stat training. In the CM they get strength rolls as if they had -3 in it, apparently at an attempt to balance it, but in the long run it doesn't help very much.

A somewhat similar 'bug' is that S'kra roll either wisdom or intelligence in the CM as if they didn't have a penalty in it, allowing for a max stat total of 82 (as opposed to 80 for the other races).

I know, I'm just whining. ;)

A -3 to stregnth would result in either a tdp cost of 0 or a divide by 0, neither of which is a good thing.

Incorrect. Each "point" is worth 0.5 TDP difference. Since the base is 3, a -3 means the TDP cost is 1.5 TDP's per point in the stat.

Granted, that would make for insane strength increases, but not a division by zero.

Frankly, I think the system would be a lot less unwieldly if it were changed a bit. Double the base numbers, but double rate at which TDP's are awarded, so everyone ends up where they already are ... but with more "wiggle room" for differences between the races. Then double the cost of stat increases and double the rate of TDP gain again. Finally, grant the same quadrupling to the starting TDP's, making them 2400 vice 600.

This would put the base numbers at 6 with TDP's awarded every 50 points accumulated rather than 200, but everyone would have the same stats they have now. They would have earned 4 times as many TDP's, but their stats would have cost 4 times as much, so it works out. However, you have more room for making the races unique and you eliminate fractional TDP costs which can throw things out of kilter.

And, on the good side, TDP's accumulate more quickly, giving people more of a sense of accomplishment without actually giving anything away (stats would still increase at the same amount ... i.e. your salary was bumped 4x but so did the cost of living).

That would take way too much time, though, as who knows how many systems or subsystems would have to be rewritten to do it. Nice to think about. though.

Quick-fix:
1. Remove our +1 penalty to reflexes, where in game does it say we're slow to react physically?
and...
2a. Give us a -1 bonus to discipline; it takes us longer to come up with the answer, but we always get it.
or...
2b. Give us a -3 bonus to strength. ::drool::

Pain and suffering award:
3. Give us 1 and both 2a and 2b for the years of being the only overall penalized race, hehe. ;)
