That's what olvi are, and we should have special olvi only dance moves. The moves should demonstrate our higher reflexes and agility. I'll think on it and see if I can come up with some specific suggestions... anybody else?

A scavenger troll arrives, scouring the area.

The scavenger troll exclaims, "I dinks I like da' Moongate!"

The scavenger troll bends over and picks up the Moongate. After appraising it, the troll places the Moongate in its frayed knapsack

Actually it's reflex (-1), agility (-2), and stamina(-1).

This is very steroetypical, but what I would imagine:

I would see the nomadic desert Olvi descendants as having a sort of wild gypsy dance, with much fancy footwork and more of the sensual dances. Picture the Olvi maiden dancing for the circle of clapping and singing onlookers. Or a sensual if somewhat bouyant tango. Much joy, less machismo. (Imagine the set-up for their friends and pockets too?) These dances would be more personal, bracketed by stylistic forms - 'Mysterious Footprint in the Sand', 'Shadowfoot Shimmey', etc.

The more settled Olvi descendants would perhaps have more of a barroom, square-dance feel. (Dancing the forms on tables would be lovely of course, in a fun way to get an audience, rather than that other way.) Established dance forms for groups of Olvi should have appropriate names -'Going to Market,' 'Tobacco Rollin Row' 'Puff 'n Bluster', 'Berries for Bossy' and, ever popular, the 'Snarfin' Tart'. ("May I have this Tart?" Oh my!) Individuals are strongly encouraged to show off between forms. Callers would be fun, but generally the dance would be too undisciplined for anyone to call forms for long.

In any case, all Olvi dances should cleverly accent lovely footwork and the lovely feet too. Daring glimpses of ruffles panties might be fun, or appropriately powerful poses for the ruffle adverse.

Wow! Those are great dance ideas Zenayda. I especially like the names for the "square dance" dances:

I've always thought of olvi being good at kicking up their heels and dancing lively jigs. For those of you who have seen Return of the King, Merry and Pippin do a nice halfling dance on the table for the Rohirim that I think really captures the flavor of olvi dancing and showcases those lovely feet as well!

If we ever did anything with this, I really thing we need a 'Tart 'o my Heart' dance too. One of the more romantic dances naturally.

This is just not right :

>get home
You get a glass of Halfling homebrew from inside your spidersilk backpack.

>drin home
You take a sip of the homebrew -- blech! Disgusting!

This should really taste good to an olvi! Maybe the other races of the realms haven't the sophisticted drinking taste buds that we have. Let it be disgusting to them, but let us like it.... pleeeease.

It was a bad year for the homebrew!

Drinks can certainly be made to have different effects on races. Elotheans sense something different from one of their wines, for instance.
