Greetings fellow Olvi-players,

I haven't been playing as much lately. I did start playing a lot for the war (doing my 'duty' and all that), but a couple weeks ago family from all over the country came to visit and stayed for 2 weeks (family reunions)! Now that Simucon is over, and I assume the Peace Talks will continue (and break down?) I'll probably start jumping in again.

In the meantime, I've been reading the boards where I can, and thought I'd toss out a couple things I've seen, see if anyone wants to discuss them.

First, the Peace Talks confirmed that Jomay not only wants to take over Arthe Dale, but sincerely expects/expected to as the reward for her efforts against Zoluren etc. Definately scary!

Second, I never realized Oculars craved Olvi flesh in their diet. Personally, I kind of have a hard time with this. In my mind, that would make us a race of people who are paranoid and afraid to go out at night, not the happy-go-lucky race we're supposed to be. That said, if I had to choose a sentient race to eat, I'd pick Olvi too, no doubt we'd be the tastiest ;-)

Let's see, after Simucon (which I didn't attend again, ah well), I usually can look forward to a Taffei post updating us with any news she may have gleaned from the weekend. Well Taffei?

I heard Rascalt is back, so if he's reading the Olvi folder, just want to give him a warm welcome back. He was the second 'Player-Thain' of Olvi for you history buffs ;-)

Lastly, I'm considering re-vamping Arthedale.com, and moving it to a new host and format. So if you notice it's down sometime in the near future, that's why. I've been researching CMS portals, and it seems like I could use the php-database driven website setup to greatly improve my site, and allow me to go back to making continuous updates... instead of once very six months ::duck::.

That's all for now. Happy gaming,

Well, I did go to Simucon, but there were no race meetings(that I know of), and definantly no olvi meeting. You know I would have been all over that. I also took many (almost 400) pictures again and will get them posted soo... umm, within a couple of weeks.

I think most GM hands are really tied up trying to get DR2 finished and running, or tending to war business. However I do think something is comming our way, what with these occular rumors. I wonder if Jomay is planning on using them to try to take over the Dale. She's already proven that she's not very picky about the company she keeps. This could be big trouble for us and our village.

Anybody have any background info on these occulars? They gotta have a weakness.... aside from liking olvi on toast. Just what kind of critter are they?

Yes! I saw him in game just before simucon! Welcome back, Rascalt! Wanna rastle for a tart?

Well, I do know that Valdrik took quite a few pictures of your bum, Soim. Quite unfortunate. Someone gave me the link and I didn't want to see those. =/

yes and I actually got a nice looking bumm for a man. Or had many women tell me so. But my leg posture in those pics gave me a quite unatractive one. Never has my bumm loked worse. LOL.

OH well they were still funny pics. And of course a better view of my bumm was displayed on Simu-Radio broadcast Friday Night...

All you chiekie-monkeys looking at me bumm!

Only info I have on Occular is what I know of them from the Feast of Eluned. They are shapershifters, which is very bad for us. They can appear in the form of ANYONE including an olvi, though they despise the form. They hate the daylight but they will come out during it if it means a free "meal" or they are forced to.

Usually the Occular are hired by a non-occular in some way, but they are very very underhanded. It is not uncommon for them to screw their boss over. Occular's love to appear as people of high authority. They especially like to take over as heads of military. Occulars themselves hate to fight, in fact once the fighting starts its not uncommon for them to run and hide until its all over.

At the feast the Occulars were deathly afraid of Gor'Togs. Not sure why but there was basically 2 sure fire ways to find an Occular at the feast. They would start to drool at the sight of an Olvi, dead give away hehe, and they would flinch alot and sometimes even shake uncontrollably when Togs were around. A few turned pale white and would run immediatly. Not sure if they've grown out of either of those traits or not though.

This may be one reason olvi and togs are such good friends. Hmm, need to look up all my tog buddies.

The only one who got a pic of me was Taff and I'm not telling which one it is either! <hums> On a different not, I want to post my latest pipe and watch any bardic Olvi drool.

You tap a blackened bone pipe carved to resemble a musical note that you are holding.

With a sharp, yet graceful curve the stem sweeps down to the perfectly rounded bowl. Careful observation reveals an etching of a fiery phoenix rising from smoldering ashes just below the lip of the pipe.

Iocanthe is the best! hehehe

A scowling snow goblin glares in your direction. It then turns, bends over, and lifts a white fur tunic to reveal its bare posterior to you.
