Greetings friends!

Rascalt asked me point blank in an IM tonight, so I figure it's time to spill the beans.

Though this probably won't surprise many of you...

Fizzia's player and I got engaged! ::beam::

Who knew back in 1997, when I thought people meeting through the internet was the lamest thing I'd ever heard...

December 31, 1997:

>Hulialo says, "Fizzia, this is Mykk."

Back then I found her to be one of the most creative, intelligent, intriguing, and engaging roleplayers I'd met. It wasn't until around October of 2000 that we actually met--at a DR party of course ::grin:: I believe it was Rob/Roison's house in Connecticut.

Our first actual "date" didn't happen until May 5th of 2001, at the Higgins Armory Museum in Massachusetts. GM-Meriel was there, but we didn't even know it!

Then 3 years later to the day, I finally got down on one knee and gave her a ring at the foot of a waterfall, and the silly girl said Yes :-)

So there you have it, another "DR success story", if you're into that kind of mushy stuff ;-)

Next I suppose Mykk should finally get around to asking Fizzia to marry him, then I can plan 2 weddings at once!

Well, we were thinking maybe a giant, frosted tart with little feet-shaped candies all over it for a cake...no wait, maybe we should save that one for the IN-game wedding! Our RL guests might find that a little too quirky. All halflings will be invited to our Elanthian wedding of course! I'll let you know as soon as Mykk gets up the courage to propose. ;-)
