Very nice addition for a simple change. Thanks!
Yup! That's exactly it!
I tried it with another char once, and got a message about how I was rather limp. I'll have to do it again so I can get the exact wording.

>>Ah, so the Gnome-friendliness is more Kaldar to Gnome and Gnomes still don't have any kind of hail? I read it as the latter, where Gnomes are conscious of how hail works, but not to the same level as Kaldar, who really own it.
This statement is half true.
Along with the bug fixes and refreshed messaging I added a new one for Kaldar to Gnome and what amounts to a couple of easter eggs for Gnomes.

<person hailing>
hail lavara
You hail Lavara with a clenched fist over your heart and a respectful nod.
>hail yehudit <self>
You pause for a moment, head down and eyes closed as you clench your fist to your heart in ancestral respect.
<person hailed>
Yehudit hails you with a clenched fist over her heart and a respectful nod, the traditional Kaldaran greeting.
Yehudit pauses for a moment, clenched fist over heart, in respectful silence.
kaldar -> gnome
>hail pip
You briefly drop to one knee as you hail Pipsqueek with a clenched fist over your heart and a respectful nod.
gnome sees:

gnome -> kaldar
hail yehudit
You gaze upwards at Yehudit and hail her with a clenched fist over your heart and a respectful nod.
Kaldar sees:
Pipsqueek gazes upwards at you and hails you with a clenched fist over her heart and a respectful nod in an attempt at the traditional Kaldaran greeting. Close enough.

You reach down and ruffle (Gnome)'s hair. Innit he cute?
(They see:)

>>>You guys are quickly joining the Bards on my list of players I need to hurt.
Hee. Bring it.
Sure we all crossed the barrier together, everyone knows that. But seriously, someone had to sniff out the route, though turns out even a blind man could have found it. Someone had to be fodder in case we met with resistance. There were some purty awesome tales - note spelling here - being bandied back and forth about the Kermorian armies. My group took all the precautions we could.
Sure, I've made a coupl'a friends who are of the furry variety, but that doesn't mean I don't trick 'em into a quick swim to shake the fleas, doesn't mean I don't stand well outta the way when they start that preening either. And preening each other...gah, don't get me started. I can hear the mewing and barking of objections now, so I'm gonna back offa this thread. If I can. Pretty sure I can. Yeah, I got this.

I don't know if there's some joke I'm not getting or whatever, so in that case, ignore this. But just for reference in case not: The Prydaen/Rakash did not arrive in Kermoria from the same direction that the Gnomes/Kaldar did. Gnomes and Kaldar passed through the Dark Hand from the south. Prydaen/Rakash erected The Barrier and traveled from the west.
Both groups arrived, for technical/game release purposes, on the same day, but they did not travel together.

This is what happens when I let Sin do the talking.
My former game partner and I both had premie accounts and used our remaining slots to test out multiples from each other new races. Our band 'arrived together' as a group. Sin and Strinth arrived with the others because they came first out of the chargen, instead of vice versa. We both preferred the Kaldar race to the others, even though they were the neat ones at the time, and they soon became our primary chars.
How did they manage to ICly hook up with others to from the 'west' instead of the 'south'? Ask Sin. Her quick answer will be a snorted, "Ranger blood."
That isn't the whole truth, but you could ask her...maybe at a gathering?
