Now that we will be using a heretofore mostly un-trainable tertiary skill in to-hit and damage calculations for our offensive spells, is it reasonable to request that we re-open the discussion about whether or not magic terts should have access to AOE spells?

IMO, re-instituting the AOE effect of SWARM, and re-writing AF / BB to be area of effect (using the shiny new TM req. of course) would really ease the burden of backtraining.
