Question is: Any plans for new spells in the immediate future? I have all the available ones and seven open slots that sure would be nice to fill one day. -- Ranger Fengreve

In the same vein of that question, i just realized i have an empty slot, and i'm considering a spell...can you tell us if you expect to have any released during HWN? If so, I'll probably just hold off :)

Ranger Spells. on 03/23/2005 03:20 PM CST
First thank you all for working so hard for us rangers.
Since COTC has been released, i was wondering how many other spells do we have in the works or somewhere near completion if you can let us know anything about that, right now i have a spell slot but holding on to it for the time being.
Also about Cotc, are there any plans to change this spell in any way given the responses to the spell in the near future?
Those who pride themselves on being the Hunter can easily become the prey.

Hi there,
Right now the focus is on fixing existing spells in regards to that area. After that, spells may not see some work for awhile - but you just never know when inspiration will strike :)
Also, no plans as of yet to make changes to COTC. It's a brand new spell that most people seem happy with - us included.
Thanks!

Ranger Spells Cont.. mainly CotC on 03/26/2005 08:17 AM CST
Time for me to chime in again.. about this spell review, and I agree with you.. CotC is a GREAT spell, however I have to ask again.. can we please, please, please have it give a brawling increase if it doesn't already? I ask this because when I asked about if it did already I was told, by you Edahla, to ask the guildleader and that would pretty much let me know... well, Kalika never says anything about brawling, but the spell's description when cast really and truly does promote a brawling bonus I think (at least to any unarmed hand attacks), I mean.. claws forming if you didn't have them, or thicking and hooking more if you already had them. Screams claw attacks for non-prydaen and more damage for Prydaen claw attacks.
Like I said, the spell is really good already, but I do think that this would make it superb and very much desired even more then it is. Even if you wanted to add some sort of checks to it like hands must be empty to get the brawling boost or some such.. and then it would only boost brawling. I don't care how it's done hehee.. but as a Prydaen who enjoys relying on only himself if need be, I do work my brawling quite hard, it is currently my second highest melee and is on it's way to being my first with my bow being the only weapon above it.
Anywhos, gotta go, but please consider it.. thank you.

Are we going to see any spell updates significantly earlier than Simu Soon? I know you can't say "Well before Simucon..."

But they could say, "Well, before Simucon...."

Foraged weapons are heavier and less effective than storebought weapons but have the advantage of being free if you have the skill and knowledge of where to find them. Personally, I train foraging on longswords right now. --Arcelebor
