Paglar says, "I can tell you about the Forestwalker's Boon spell from the Protection book. If you are interested in more information about this book, ask me about it by name."

[Type ASK Paglar ABOUT <spellbook name> BOOK to see which spell(s) you may learn from that book.]

Paglar looks you in the eye and says, "I believe you are worthy of learning more about the manipulation of the life energies. You may choose a spell if you know which one you like, and I will teach it to you."

[Type ASK Paglar ABOUT <spell name> SPELL for a description.]
[Type CHOOSE <spell name> SPELL to learn one.]
> choose boon spell

Paglar gives you a long, careful look, then says, "Very well, the Forestwalker's Boon spell shall be thine."

Paglar carefully turns the pages of a large spellbook on a stand nearby, searching for the correct page. Having found it, Paglar motions for you to step before the volume, and with a few moments of careful instruction and some repetition on your part, you commit the Forestwalker's Boon spell permanently to your memory.

Paglar says, "I can tell you about none of the books of this order. Return later if you feel that you may have earned my trust."

Why would I have to earn his trust to hear him tell me I've learned all the spells?

Seems a bit odd to me. Not necessarily a bug but definitely odd.

Not odd, just accept there are some spells so secret or dark that he only trust to a few very trusted members of the ranger guild.

He's holding the spell that will really awaken the forest and turn it into a living pit of doom where the trees eat any who dare enter. Sort of like the Dark Hand but more flowery.

The Dragon priest hisses, "We'd have won, too, if it weren't for thossse meddling kidsss."
