Is this system working as intended? I seem to drop to "bad" levels very quickly. And low levels of "bad" are a penalty that exceeds a capped spell bonus.

The long story: I have noticed that it's much harder to keep my bonus high in general, but here's the specific story. I had been hunting black goblins and mapping trails* for a good while and my howl was at +3 (message capped but I know it's a range). My wife wanted to check out the alchemy system so I cast MON at 650 (near the ranger guild in P3, max wild pace) and headed into town. I spent < 40 minutes in town, most of it in the Alchemy building where with MON up the pace was "stalking mountain cat". When I left town I headed back to Boar Clan and did some foraging when I noticed my RT was almost 10 seconds longer than normal. My bonus was at -1. At this point MON had still not expired.

Is this normal? Shouldn't MON protect me a little bit more than that? I mean I most of the time I spent in "in town" the pace message was "full wild". What gives? Why did I drop to negative bonus levels? And why did -1 level hit me so hard on the foraging RT? The bad bonus wiped out all of the bonus from a 100 mana WS and then some!

I cast it because I've got more slots than I know what to do with, but as my story suggests I don't think it's working. If it -is- working, I think it needs to work a lot better. 40 minutes in a "stalking cat" pace room, should not drop me to -1 bonus (with associated >WS bonus hit to foraging) if I have MON up at 600+ mana.

Oh and thanks for the mapping! I might even be able to find my way around that cliff near the trailhead to Rakash village. It has been a pain to move, search area, move, repeat, climb escarpment, search area etc.
