Just hold off on the title until Ssra gets the new armor types out. I'm pretty sure cloth, bone, and kevlar were the three new non-metal types due out soon.

Well sure, think of it this way, you slay the mighty kevlar beast (with blunt objects - maybe vitality death?) then the skins are woven together and layers of this are placed beneath some leather armour.
Oh, and don't forget to skin the eyes of the bears that shoot lasers out of their eyes too so you can mount these on your shoulders. Then just forage up some optical tracking devices and you're all set.

Very till reason to increase it, beyond TDPs, once you can tend extremely severe, anyways. Until they start letting us tend without hands, that is.

Yep, it is random as hell. Ive gone three ranks with the same bleeders, and not gotten infected. Ive also gotten a bleeder, and as soon as I got it, it got infected. Badly. To the point where I could not tend the wounds in a matter of seconds and being on m'riss where empaths are in short supply, died as a result. You would think that the more FA you have, the less likely it would be to get infections.

1) with any skill, washing the wound with soap and water would delay/prevent infections.
2) at higher skills, there'd be anti-infection ointments, poultices, etc one could make and apply to draw out mild infections (::gasp:: for experience?).
But until we all stop being hemophiliacs, this is all for the wish lists.

I agree on the sheer randomness of infection. I tracked it for several months with Daereth keeping single and multiple bleeders of varying severity and doing different activities reputed to bring infection on faster and found no pattern whatsoever. Combat and getting hit on a wound to where it re-opened did make it seem to become infected faster, but again there was no clear-cut pattern. And I used an Empath on another of my accounts to monitor and ensure he was completely clean or free of infection before re-starting a new trial. I also tracked the Empath at the same time keeping active bleeders and different infections and varying the time to curing an infection. "Hidden" wounds that magically sprout bleeding in what sems every body part plus some can be exciting albeit dangerous for a non-Empath. Made it exciting enough with the Empath having herbs and the full range of immediate healing spells at hand.
