ok so i'm going to bring this up again, only because the ability to have weapons that also cause elemental damage are out... can we get arrows that cause fire damage now???

Did you mean a spell like Ignite but for ammunition or loaded missile weapons? Beacuse elemental damage on weapons will definitely be a thing. It's being tested on the test server right now.* It will be accessed primarily through the enchanting skill by converting physical damage attributes into an associated elemental one. IIRC there were some ranged weapons available for testing, but I'm not sure if it was bows, arrows, or both.

<<I'd like to see mundane methods of getting fire on arrows. Wrap the arrowhead in cloth and soak it in naptha or some such.
This exists. SPLASH/THROW naphtha to soak critter. Fire arrows at it until one of them sparks the naphtha and *BOOM*

It used to have a chance to spark with regular weapon attacks before (e.g. blowing a naphtha trap then standing in combat was bad) so unless that changed in the last few years...
And doing some research, it looks like the way naphtha works was updated at least once back in 2013 from an overall body dousing to be body part dousing along with other changes, so it's entirely possible the ignition mechanics changed slightly.
Either way, it will still be possible with a fire enchanted weapon/ammo.
