Today's my birthday. 28 years old now. I'm pretty sure this is my first birthday that I could care less about.

Happy Birthday Gimlias! Yes we think of birthdays a bit differently when we have grown. It isn't such a big deal anymore. But like it was said, you cared enough to post and even if it isn't the big deal it once was...having friends and co-workers say Happy Birthday to me still provokes a smile and a warm feeling. Hope it does for you too. So Happy Birthday again! Lucky howls a long howl which either means..."Happy Birthday" or "If you don't take me hunting right now I'm going to chew every last piece of leather you own to smithereens!" Oh and another side howl which I think might mean "and your leather-wrapped longbow!"

Meaning I didn't care that I went from 27 to 28. I didn't care about the leap. It isn't like going from 19 to 20, or 20 to 21, or what 29 to 30 probably feels like. It just felt like another day. Geez, some people love snide remarks. Sheesh.

The birthday went well. My team (I coach a men's college soccer team) did something special for me as a surprise. Girlfriend and I went to a movie/bar/restaurant to watch Eagle Eyes, which was better than expected.

I'm so glad your birthday turned out so well! But wait until you hit 40. Big bother over hardly anything. And after 40 I don't care a wit about birthdays. Just taking each gray hair as a badge of honor! Mine's the 22nd of this month. Just in case someone wants to write to me and say I care enough to vote. : D
