>wear plate
You work your way into some dark battle plate enameled with a small Ilzada.
>look plate
Though crafted of heavy steel, the surface of this armor bears countless nicks and cuts of varying sizes, clear evidence of heavy use in heated battle. The exotic design features many overlapping plates reinforced by sharp-looking ridges, resulting in maximum protection with little impact on mobility. Enameled upon the right shoulder is a small golden circle bearing a multi-rayed sun in bas-relief.
>shake plate
You adjust your battle plate.
The design was mostly mine, but Loriale suggested one key word choice change that made it perfect. It's already being put to good use! Thanks L!

Turns out that was a bad copy on my part... the alterer fixed it while working on it. How's that for skill?

You think it is likely that the battle plate is fairly sturdy, and is in pristine condition.
Wouldn't make sense for it to be pristine and polished all the time. My barb lives in combat, and this stuff gets used a LOT. When I stop seeing glancing hits I usually start looking for the next hunting area... gotta keep everything locked, after all.
Fortunately a few little cuts isn't enough to really be considered damage ;)
