I don't have perfect pitch per se, but I do have pitch memory to some degree and this is one of those songs (along with "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" by the Hollies) that I use as a reference for G.

If you have the original Broadway cast recording (Zero Mostel), I love the song, "When Messiah Comes," which was cut from the show very early on.

The same recording also has my favorite rendition of L'chaim, which is my favorite from Fiddler.

sunrise, sunset was always my favorite song from the play.

I was fortunate enough to see it in NY when Zero was still alive many, many years ago. Still my favorite. If you ever get a chance, read the original Isaac Bashevis Singer story that it is based on.
