Dear concerned citizen,
I can understand your statement of not fighting for your paper-pusher, but I think you failed to understand me. What I ment to say in my statement is that to the King, it would not be just a paper-pusher. Where as the Shard goverment finds this person as expendable and worth the loss... I doubt the King would.

I really dont wish to comment on what the King would have done, the simple fact is that he left. Taking the power of the Outcasts with him. Not something which bothers me personally, I had no taste for towers and bridges the dunes suit me just fine. What I do know, is from talking with some of his council, that he had big plans for the lands in the south. Plans which if kept through to fruition, would have been something Ilithian citizens would be proud of as well.

Alot of my problems with Ilithi stem from the Shard goverment and thier history of being overly self-involved. Alot of the peoples I find to be very elitist and full of themselves. Mind you, not all I have met are like this. Just the few I have met who claim to be a "true" citizen.

I end with this, pride is one thing. Pride for your city, your race, your gods...these are good reasons to be full of pride. Too much self pride on the otherhand, is dangerous.

I enjoyed Shard more while it was under Raenilar's rule.

So where do you spend your time, seeing as how you dislike Ilithi so much?

"So where do you spend your time, seeing as how you dislike Ilithi so much?"

If this question were adressed to me, I could respond to that by saying that I had previously stated that it were not Ilithi which my problems reside...only those who are in control of those lands. As for my whereabouts, I am a Ranger through and through my travels take me everywhere. More frequently I have been spending a majority of my time in Therengia. Seems those to the North who came so far to help you during the Outcast War, were far more ready to offer understanding than all others.

Still, I cannot quench the wandering spirit and thanks to a good friend and captian I have use of a vessel so I can go to even more far off remote locations. Yes, tha does mean I still do travel through and around Shard. I make frequent runs to my Guildleader in those parts who seems happy to see me despite my affiliation. Maybe Raenilar scared her more than I thought, shes been taking tea far more frequently.

That said, you should ask The Last for a few barrels of explosives and blow up your silly tower, I mean really how long will it be until you get a new Corik-style leader in charge. Most of all with all the recent animosity I see in the Elothean race. My own personal opnion.

"Blow up your silly tower"? Blasphemous to this Ilithian. I'll treat you as such from now on, you'd seemed like a decent person the many times I healed you. My mistake.

Written below these two bold statements is another:

Blasphemy, an Ilithian dare talk to me about such...You wetlanders who would attempt to shirk the rule of a demi-god-king? Just to fail in the end... Har! I think you should hold your tongue on Blasphemous talk. Beleive it or not I'm very much a decent person, but I have my own reasons for disliking Ilithi. Many of which I have stated in other writings to you. Some may call it heresay others may hail me as a seer of the future. What I can say is that too much pride has been the downfall of many in the past, and Ilithi is no exlusion to the rule. If things continue on this path, I do expect another Corik-stle leader to be born from the strife. Weather or not this person will come to light or weather they have the ability to attain "black cloud" status remains to be seen. One thing I can say for sure is that Ilithi makes thier own enemies, and chooses which of them to empower. Any hardships visited upon the city or people more than likely stems from its own govermental mistakes.

P.S. Dont get too stressed out over it, It just be one mans opnion. But...as a visitor to the 5 provinces I am able to look at many issues with eyes not of these lands. If you dont like what I say change it...if you dont agree with what I say...prove different. In the end these are only opnions, and merely just opnions "after-the-fact" Would I haven been serious I would have suggested that we tower down to the King when the army was there. Insted I took that time to attempt to help, spending a majority of the occupation down at Coriks wall.

I amuse myself while reading what was written and can only think to myself that the so righteous desert king follower would question the ability of any government to lead. Your own king lead his people from their home of over 300 years marched all the way to Ilithi made deals with necromancers, even though he claims ignorance to this fact.

He allied himself with the vilest names in Elanthia waisted the lives of so many of his people to claim a city that rejected them at every turn. What fool would think they'd actually come to be accepted by those who inhabited the area, what fool would think there would be no Outcast blood spilled after the war had ended. He sat around for years while his people were slaughtered in the streets and the outcast guards armor piled up because of his foolish actions to retake a place that was not their home.

It is easy to speak out against a newly reforming government that had been years in exile while the faithful warriors of Shard fought against the Outcast. It is easy when the history is told from the mouths of those who wish to rewrite the history. I'll be the first to admit in the Resistance against the outcast I paused only a moment to think of the lives of the guards i was taken, yet it was their own kings fault they were being sent to the slaughter his own greed for revenge upon a woman who had done nothing but rule with grace and kindness.

So for all of your opinions and outsider point of views, they can be kept silent. Any judgment that you and your people might pass, should be thought of in the aspect that it is becuase of your King's poor judgment and leadership. This is just the echo of his need to have revenge upon a innocent woman being played out.

Blood for blood, I can at lest say as an Ilithian that there are those who do try to do more then pass judgment upon other rulers and how they run their lands. No nation is without their issues internal and external, no nation exist in a perfect state. All of the anti Ilithi followings I have observed, or the actions of those who call themselves Ilithians (who only pay taxes to do so) have one thing in common they spend only a short time in Ilithi and has not truly gotten to know the better part of the population.

By my hand,
Commander Aleyden Everden

P.S I do not speak for all of Ilithi, nor do I claim to be one of those people you get to know. Yet people like Forgenash, Xand, Tyrathia, Ithlia, Aluraiz, Lennede, Pfanston, Bah, Leissl, and many more are the reasons I fought the Outcast with a passion. Those are some of the people who to me make up the core of Ilithi, not a random people who visit. When someone like Ithlia gives you a hard time or is unkind then I will be more willing to give more credit to the groans and moans about Shard.

Great post Aleyden. Now post the part where you lied about flirting with a lady to get info on those who aided the DP. Admit where you attained that info bud. For somebody SO entrenched into the happens and events of his surroundings, you sure are pathetic. You are one of the very valid reasons people don't like or want anything to do with Ilithi. Go rot.

Such bitterness and hatred, again I am amused by the simple fact that for all those who are upset and are confused as to how I come about my information. Really seem to expect me to reveal the sources of my information who dwell among them.

You attack my honor and my creditability which I admit is a very good tactic to use to try to lessen the value of my information. Yet it is because I try to be a good reliable person I will not give my informants to a random person in a random conversation that you are attacking me. While some information isn't in need of much care, those who risk their lives to inform me of certain events do keep my dedication when it comes to who gave me the information except at the highest levels. Those who have received a better report then i would give anyone outside the milita or who is not a Commander, are the only ones who can judge me. Again they are the only ones I answer to and the only ones who can judge my information and informants to be creditable not some meager person with no value to me.

You can tell me to go rot, that is your right to feel upset or pained because you are not intelligent to realize how I came about information, I will not be dumb enough to provide you with my methods or informants.

If your only conclusion can be the one in which your mind, and those of your friends have concluded then it speaks very little for your ability to understand yourself let alone each other.

As said regardless of how you might judge me, as well as upset you might be that your friends aren't as careful or secure as they'd fancy themselves. I only represent one part of Ilithi and as I have said before I do not make up the core because I myself have a completely different demeanor then those around me. I trust few and I will keep and eye on anyone who I've been informed my be a threat to the people who I trust.

If I do not trust you, you can pretty much expect me not to admit my source for information, only a fool would randomly tell everyone the full story or exactly where he got information when he is speaking in public. When those who serve him and work with him lives are at risk, so to admit anything to someone who i don't know and probably would never respect would be senseless and pointless.

Insults based in the fabrication of your understand of the world are just meager insults not worthy of of an response, yet as I said, I felt amused.

By my hand,
Commander Aleyden Everden

>Great post Aleyden. Now post... <Blah blah blah>

Troll all ya want, but ye will ne'er find someone as dedicated to protectin Ilithi an' as loyal to the province an' to the Militia of Ilithi as Aleyden. There issna e'er any question where his motivations lie, an' thatsa more than can be said 'bout any other politician I know of. You wanna call him out on Lying, and wan' him to proclaim where he gets his information, but at least any deception he plays out is done as part of his duties to protect Ilithi. Aye, in matters of interrogation, sometimes a Commander needs to deceive someone suspected of having information, in order to do his job. Taken in comparison to some of the other actions I have witnessed and some I have heard rumors of (which I believe to be true), I will take and trust Aleyden's word any day of the week. I know without a doubt his only intention is to help Ilithi however he can.

Aleydan,

You points are vaild to you and yours. It is far easier to question what might have been or could have been from our posisions below the decision makers. But to question the Kings tactics doesnt suit you too well, everyone knows that should the King have delt with just his armies...Shard would have beeen a lot harder to hold. It was due to these alliances with less-than-favorable types that allowed him to continue to work without interferrance from the other capitalist provinces. The King knew that in order to call an end to his dept and to take Shard for his own people, he would have to keep everyone else busy that would complicate that.

"He sat around for years while his people were slaughtered in the streets and the outcast guards armor piled up because of his foolish actions to retake a place that was not their home."

Or perhaps it was the foolish action of others who thought that they had thier home taken, too bad though your homes are built on lies and blood. Coriks legacy lives on in the dirt on your floors and the motor in your walls, yuor homes and houses reside on stolen land. Is it too far-fetched to think that the formoer owner might be mad and might want it back? Regardless it were the Kings orders to leave Shard, Couldnt have came sooner if you asked me I grea tired of my service with no thanks from those citizen I help. Hell even my King offered to go down to help fight DP for Shard, which was refused. heh.

I digress, I had wished to keep it from name-calling. Just using my own personal opinions on matter. but it seems far easier to just down grade and dscredit someones point of view. I lived in Ilithi for years, spilt blood at Coriks, fought DP along side militia members, stilll have a select few elothen friends, hell even some of those mountian and forest elves aint too horriably bad

My orignal statement is that "if things progress the way they are, a corik-style leader is bound to emerge" and unless that one be related to corik...he should never see an outcast blade, that debt has been paid, and you all know how. But there are still matters which require outcast attention in the south, for now we sit and wait for reports from our scouting units.

Commander Aleyden Everden, I respect your point of view here and do admit my time in Ilithi has been very few far less frequent. The people there are becoming quite a bit militant, and where I could walk freely before...I cannot. And I have no desire to stand in some trial at the tower. I however thing your reasoning is a bit off, people dont follow our king because he forces them to, they follow because they respct him and what hes trying to do. Any of those whom you killed in battle, deserved it. It was theier chance to be with their god...a god which would only smile on the sole of a soldier dying the defence of his kings will. that is HONOR!
