Is there any chance there could be made available more information on this race in Elanthia's libraries? They show up one day during Sorrow's War and then disappear faster than a GM at a Warrior Mage recruitment meeting. Sometimes I wonder if there ever even was a General Shartug and the Elpalzi. Thank ya.

Don't take this for gospel, but....The whole deal with Sorrow, S'lai and Elpalzi...If I'm remembering right, I think they were both races created by Sorrow's crew, to an extent. The s'lai completely created by them, and the Elpalzi summoned from some otherworldy type thing. Now exactly what that other world is, and how they came to exist there, I dunno.

Someone feel free to point out any errors in that, cos I'm really not sure of it...But that's what I recall.

The Slai were a race that was created by Sorrow. The Elpazi were at first given to Sorrow by Dzree, who created them, for services rendered to her. I think since then the Elpazi have bred naturally and were not created like S'lai.

heh....

Elpalzi race was created by the DragonPriest and were given to Sorrow by Dzree...S'lai is a race that lived in the reach that Sorrow claimed rule over..

S'lai are one of my favorite critters in the game... just because well, they are neat to think about. I wish we had tougher types around the reach to hunt instead of just the scouts... who are natural cowards. I'm not talking about those 70th circle screamers or anything :P

The screamers come out once and a while, but the generation of them is so poor it's not huntable there.

It's more of a "fun only type creature" for now.

actually the screamers come out when you don't want them to.

I was going in that neighborhood to acquire some furniture for my house in the shop there when magic was first turned off, and managed to generate a whole flock of screamers.

are those ones 70th circle like the ones in the war? or are they slightly weaker? I cant believe I managed to kill a couple during the war, being my little ol self. Multiple opponent penalty to em helped somewhat in that case though <grin>

I think they're around the same difficulty compared to the one's in the war.
