Still (makes me sad) looking for someone to play a protective older brother to my 26 year old human female character.
Requirements (for the character, not the player):
Be human
Be male, and approximately 31 years old (either played as if he's 31, or actually is about 31)
Have dark skin and hair (family resemblance, you know)
Be not an Empath (won't quite fit in the history I wrote if he is)
That's all for now. AIM me at DRSurisa if you're interested, or send me an e-mail at DRSurisa@netscape.net

I'm a tanned, 22 year old, empath. I'd be glad to fill the role. I'm pretty friendly, but sometimes people say I don't read very carefully. I just don't know what they are talking about though.

Sorry for the delayed reaction here. I've been hideously busy lately. Sadly, tanned isn't quite dark enough for family resemblance... Which is very unhappy since apparently EVERYONE has tanned skin these days. (Everyone who likes responding to my post anyway...)
Still nice that a few people responded this time though...

Not that I'm interested in the position.. gods knows I have enough going on right now as it is...
But.. kinda frowned when I read your admonition that you don't want an empath big brother. Not that I actually claim being an empath.. but can't think of too many people who could 'protect' someone better than I could. And not for my healing.. simply because.. well.. heh. I'm sure there's bound to be at least one person on the boards who knows something about who I am. <chuckle>
Anway.. this isn't a negative post. Just.. keep your head up, and don't discount someone based on circle or guild. Ole' Cayene does just fine and he's **th circle. (what, you thought I'd actually tell you?) <g>

Oh yeah.. and Purehand rocks. He could be my big brother anyday! Except for the fact that I don't have a big brother.
Maybe he could get more tanned?
heh.. dark skin definately rocks.

Part of the reason she doesn't want an empath is because she has written part of her character's background, which I've read, and her brother is a trained fighter. With swords and such. So an empath, unless they decided to change professions or something, would not fit with what she already has. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Heh, I was just joking. I pretty much fit the description of everything you didn't ask for and I'm portly to boot, so I had to offer. Hope you find someone. And Cayene is right if you find someone that fits your requirements aside from the appearance, their skin color can always be changed... Dark brown, black and ebon are all available for a small fee with many more likely to come when DRII gets rolling.
And Cayene, we all know you are *nth circle! <tickles>

~Purehand, No one ever suspects the empath.

That's not what I meant, and now she's going to kill me for scarying someone off. Her brother rescued her from her abusive father when she was younger, that's all. You can read it yourself here:

Ok, so I go away (evil RL junk of doom, I tell ya) for a month and people actually start talking in my thread. Then stop before I get back... Anyway, I'll respond to stuff anyway.

Sorry to hear that. I honestly wasn't trying to be... er... guildest (new words are fun). But as Gryck mentioned, I had a particular past in mind, and due to shock, Empaths would have difficulty fitting into it. As for circle... That isn't really set in stone. Just a preference. People without circle, or below whatever it was I said (12?) are welome too.
>>but the idea of playing out a character to someone else's purposes don't appeal to me at all.
Actually, the character would only have to adopt the history (and add whatever for the chunk that I didn't write, about what the brother did while away.) and occasionally lurk around my character looking protective. (That conjures an amusing image in my mind. heh.)

Don't make promises you can't keep. It's not good. <grins impishly>

The only problem with adopting history is that is changes the character. The original history is thrown away. I started playing Myth with big holes in his history, and oddly enough, someone came along to play his sister that actually fit into quite a few of the holes, so it worked out perfect.

Yeah, that would be a problem. I'm flexible though so I'm sure we (me and whoever wants to play the part) will work something out. Even if that requires revisions of the history as it is now. I'd be a little sad, I'd get over it. :P

Lucky you. I need someone to do that. More or less.

Sweet! Love for the commoners! They can compete up until about 20th circle, which is when the statcrush starts excluding them from a lot.
