Do you have a favorite person that you feel is as a local hero? A mother, sister, brother, friend or maybe someone you havent met yet, but hear about? I was just curious, just who people call their heros and why. If you could give me the name, reason they are a hero and area they are found in. I would greatly love to hear about them.

He's a GNPC, not a player, but Daergoth always concidered Darkensi a personal hero, and a role model of the epitomy of what being a prydaen was all about. He had a settlement in Sorrow's reach, though after the war, he supposedly found a different place in the mountains to the west(P5?).

I agree. He's not a hero to me...(were you asking In DR or RL?)...anyways, I definatly think this is what a prydaen should be. Any prydaen who names themselves with the words "kitten" "Pur" or any other type of "house cat" type verbage, or RP's as one, I don't like to rp with. I don't think they read the description all that well of what a Prydaen should be, let alone about the cultural heritage of them. Sadly, the great prydaen race seems to have evolved into house cats who have vocal cords.

Heh, sadly, some of the prydaen players seem to ask themselves 'If I were a six foot tall cat, how would I act?' and play from there.
Remember also, they could be humanized. I choose a S'kra to be my persona, because it was the only 'out of the ordinary' species at the time of my creation.... Well, besides the elotheans, and they look like space aliens anyway. And the togs came out shortly thereafter, but I didn't want to be playing the jolly green giant either.
But since I didn't like the S'kra's whole history, the mistrust everyone, and only trust each other thing, I just became humanized... Or rather, on my first life (Before the war and the.... heh, I could turn this post into 50 if I wanted to with my long history), I was sort of integrated into their (ilithia's domain) society, and simply treated as 'one of the clan' even though I looked different.
In fact, the S'kra I have seen are rather seedy and untrustworthy. I'd sooner trust an elf or human then another S'kra these days. Though rather trust neither. (safer dat way)
-Trazier, wondering if the real problem is just too many humanized prydaen running about. (Kind of like... everyone has a horrible story... 20 times out of 20, everyone has some kind of traumatic story that changed their character life)

I would just like to pipe up here and mention that I have at least three charactors that have never had anything traumatic or tragic happen to them...
...any voluteers? (yes, I'm kidding!)
Oh, and to keep on subject.. Pureblade was Lyssah's hero during the invasion the other night.. twice.. he already got thanked so I'm not gonna bother to throw that in..and Peso is quickly becoming one in my own personal eyes for hanging tough in Shard and not giving up when things got really slow at the Pit Stop. Gotta love that kind of stamina!

Heroes- hmm- well, yes, I have a few. And not all of them are really 'popular'.
Airaman and Edgee, for being among the avenging angels that wiped out the gorbesh raiding force that slaughtered all of us at the adan'f safe spot. Airaman later on adopted me and gave me a reason to NOT walk the Starry Road when I was really down on myself and life in general.
Garfaldo and Poshly, for guarding me while I was handling a number of raises in Rock Guardians.
Galain- watching you zap those hafwa when the Dark Abbey was opened was a treat!
Latirah- for being a lady and a paladin of worth who believed in me.
Sophrona and Kerai, two tough lady empaths who could heal with one hand and embarrass critters by throwing them all over the place with the other.
Corruption, Pilf, and Addlestone, Shadows of honor.
Kalira, Boppum, Gabela, and many other elder clerics- for being endlessly patient in teaching me about the guild.
I salute you all.

Yep, that's him. I remembered it, but Didn't want to butcher his name. When the web shift happend, I had to quite...I came back some time later, and Both, sunnie and Talineth Were right there to help me. I Felt like such a newbie. I eventually began to feel like their son. Then, we just stopped hanging out. I guess I 'grew up" and ran off to see P4.
I miss them both.

My hero... why Rock of course. I'm sure quite a few of you remember him, those that don't know him or haven't heard of him missed out on a legend. Such a controversial Paladin, but a Paladin through and through. He made IMO DR a much brighter place. There was never a dull moment when he was around, and was always worth a laugh or ten. Who could forget his bank monkey patrols? Or his phobia of pink? Or that danged jelly bean? Rock.... my hero.

Aww that's so sweet! <G> I played Sunnie's twin back then. Ahh for the days of Shard. I miss it.
I heard Sunnie put in an appearance at the festival, but I missed her, drat it all!

Yup. But Tali was first and also a Cleric, which I why I figured that's who Crusi meant. <G> I was taking a break from DR during most of the period of her second marriage.. so I never really got to know Glee too well.

Was when the mages and warriors came to Whispering Woods. Tali and many of us, had died over and over. Most of us were able to get back to our things. Tali's things, were in the thick of the fighting. Everytime he tried to get back, he died, and departed.

Couldn't resist jumping in here. My list is huge, like many of the others, but the first names that popped into my head would have to be:
Silvergryphon and Sophrona, both of whom I remember watching in complete awe when I first came to Elanthia.
Staratonn, who taught me all the shadowy skills anyone can possibly tolerate teaching to a warmie.
Kharsih and Doveswings, if there were legends made about angelic wenches, those two would top the list.
And my personal heroes - Brikmar, who has stuck with me through countless trials and triumphs; and Silverfury, one of my dearest friends ever who I miss greatly.
Athiana
(On an OOC note, I can't go without mentioning Sadistaie's player as one of the greatest RP heroes of the game. Hate the character, stand in awe of the mind behind it.)

My hero?
Cleric, dont know if he's about anymore, but his name was Stammell. I died out on the M'riss and no one was about. I was able to send a pigeon to the mainland and a friend asked if he could go help me. He traveled from crossings to M'riss to help me. I'll never forget him for that.
If he's still about, let me know where. Id like to run into him again sometime. Does anyone know if he still drinks? He was quite the drunk if I remember right.

Sorry but this seems odd. You would let someone travel all that way instead of just departing?
