Correct me if I'm wrong but ME can be used for backstabbing? But it can't be a slicer, must be thrusting?

you are correct. it has to be under 30 stones though in weight. As a thief you can appraise it to see if it is a stabber.
you will see the following:
The <WHATEVERWEAPON> is ill suited, but usable, for backstabbing.
you'll get that for any ME you can stab with.
weapons include rapiers, gladius, sabres <make sure its an ME sabre, there are also HE sabres sold in SCC that - being HE, wont BS>, some forged scims <that are grinded for puncture> & the s'kra scim, misc other weapons. the cheapest you can probly get is the vicious rapier from dirge.

There's a weight restriction, but you can backstab with an ME. You can even back stab with a slicer, it's just going to give terrible results. (I've accidentally backstabbed with my slicing scimitar several times, and I'm usually going "Why can't I get my usual hits out of this? Oh! Derrr) But from what I can tell the real restriction is weight based. However, for efficacy, you want to use a poker. And in regards to this and the other forged blade conversation that's been going on... I use a forged sabre, I think as light as possible for heavy slice, I just try not to parry with it. I also use a forged scimitar, also light weight, for slicing. And a jambiya. And a bastard sword, but that's not so handy for many stealth attacks, but lots of fun.
