Currently I have LE as my primary and do quite well training backstab. I was wondering. If I were to switch from my old tago to a glaes sabre, would I still be able to train backstab relatively the same? Or would I be one-shotting stuff too often to really learn?

I'm backtraining ME right now so I really can't hunt at level. I'm just asking in generalities.

well shame on you....

tit for tat.. they are generally equal in my opinion... I get an equal amount of one hit kills using either ME and LE... and there's almost 100 rank difference between them.... the difference between them is mainly balance... I'm more balanced using my LE most of the time compared to my ME.

At a certain point you're going to one shot everything anyway, with either LE or ME...short of plate-wearing PCs, then that glaes/ME gets a little better edge.

I think your best backstab learning is going to come from ambush slash followed by repeated ambush(attack) right/left eye. Play with your glaes and tago however it's fun, neither is going to end up your best way to learn backstab. Using them with regular backstab is great for those weapon ranks though.

I prefer LE because of the 1 second rt after the backstab, which is nearly instantaneous to get back in hiding and attack the next critter. ME is good, but LE has been just as effective and I like the shorter roundtime.

That's great. Around 550 backstab it slows down heavily, and in either case, you're depending on heavy spawn (unless your backstab is just relatively low). Heavy spawn is generally not the case on the top floor as far as I am aware of. If you move critters by defenses and weapons, not stealth and backstab, you'll come to appreciate ambush eye.

With ambush you can milk much much more, to a much higher level, out of fewer creatures. Go whatever way works for you though, it takes a lot more weapon skill to ambush a raider eye. If your point was to say backstab trains backstabbing as efficiently as ambush eye, I think that's wrong. Otherwise the ME/LE choice is just a matter of what's fun for (generic) you. I suggest both.

Just work them both and if BS isn't locking by the time both weapons are getting near locked, stick one of them in your offhand and stab left and learn offhand instead while getting the BS.

If advice was any good, they wouldn't give it out for free.
