i do agree non steal zones are lame and should be removed, and ive never stolen from anyone. They dont make sense tho and hamper RP
Coin can be remade, wounds can be healed, death can be undone, no reason for no steal or no kill zones anywhere IMO
>and Ann also called gms on people who killed her a few times for stealing too, not really promoting RP
That was before the most recent posting of consent regarding stealing. I bet lots of people got killed over a few coppers, and summarily reported.
Oh, wait.... Hrm. I guess the only difference is GM's can tell them to piss off. :D

>>heyo, Ann used to dance folks out of nonsteal zones too. nonsteal zones are lame.
Just like the no-violence areas, no-magic areas, etc...
>>and having a bazaar nonsteal is silly. as are having so many guards there. you go to almost any country in the middle east, go to the suk <bazaar>, and you don't have guards sitting all over the place. of course, they DO still cut off yer hand if you steal there, and RL don't have empaths. :-)
You're right, except in Israel they skip the hand and shoot you instead.

navak, you are quite misinformed. one of my sons emigrated to Israel and serves in the armed forces there. And while it is true that yes, Israel is not ruled according to the Hadith <moslem law which prescribes the forfiture of a hand for the crime of theft, Israel operates under Modern Western law when it comes to civil crimes such as theft <Israel is not run under Jewish law, as there is no modern Sanhedrin. And theft is not punishable by either death nor imprisonment under Halachah <Jewish Law>. Rather, the thief has to pay back the financial amount of the amount stolen plus an additional amount <varies according to what was stolen. Ask your local Yeshiva bocher for details. And criminals from outside that attempt to immigrate can be extradited. <as was the owner-operater of the "crazy eddie" discount electronics stores, who attempted to flee his financial creditors by going to Israel and was extradited to the U.S., and mafioso Meyer Lansky <who pretty much was responsible for the mafia run of Las vegas in the early days>, who was refused citizenship to Israel when he attempted to go there under the Law of Return.
those who commit the crime of theft are not SHOT in Israel.
although in the U.S., there have been cases where Looters have been shot....and in the old west, if you stole a horse, you got a noose necktie. And most of the old-time west bank robbers ended up shot <bonnie and clyde, jesse james, etc.>

I know, I was actually being facetious since you seem to bring up the above in lots of posts and generally speak as if you hold some great font of knowledge about the area.
In some ways Israel is even more "despotic" than the surrounding countries which may cut off your hand for stealing.
It gets grating.

Blah, blah, blah... this non-factoid was brought to you by conflicts with Israel and the lawfirm of Smith and Johnnson reminding you that it is illegal to walk your alligator in Louisiana.
If the Truth hurts... maybe you should be more gentle with it.

ragran = back from obligatory vacation = Government funded mental health clinic got its funding pulled and no longer needs paid testers for drug experimentation.
