Actually i don't think they ever appraise at actually 1500. Of the GMs I've carved, they seem to all appraise at a certain "fixed" level.

I have seen the following appraisals:

1518, 1530, 1541, 1552, 1563, 1620, and 1631, out of a sample of 17 Grandmasters I presently possess that I've carved.

I'm not sure what your trying to say Gonif. Cause they have to be 1500 at least to be a GM. even by your picks below a 1518 is only 18 cppers form the mark. But we could use your example and say words to the effect of (approx 1500 kronar give or take 18). Anway its 1500, pretty sure I even saw masters apping 1498 and GM's right over. It is obvious what the cut off point is and were GM's can begin.

I rest my case, your GM's are over 1500 made from Iron. Now try and find me a GM under 1500 or a Master over 1499?

Also your baffling me. you said ""they seem to all appraise at a certain "fixed" level."

Then you show a range from 1518-16-31. How is that fixed. I even told you I carved them up to 2400. 1500-2400 is not fixed in my book.

we sure see things differently is best I can figure. let everyone figure out who is right and wrong.

I'm not saying you're wrong. GMasters are all above 1500. So I'm agreeing with you. <poke>

WHat i'm saying is that while you'll get a GM at 1530, you'll never get one at 1531. Because they have a "fixed" value. or , they are all coded to have a certain numeric appraisal.

Interestingly enough, the "games" lockpick provided for last years disarm and locks competition has a lower value, only 1271. Unfortunately we all had to use the games lockpicks and not our own.

I definately need to find someone that buys these damned things. 53 grands, 6 master steels, and have a handful of full name grands I'm still keeping seperate, since we have no clue when engraving gonna come back.

Sides...Ya can't trap me till ya start pumpin' out grandmasters steel. I only ever carved up a dozen er so blanks of those. Never got one with full name, only initials.

It's not necessary to my continued survival, but I'd like some. And it was in response to Addle asking who was going to buy all those grandmasters.

Before the changes, I could buy masters that had a higher coin appraisal then GM's I'd seen. (I buy my masters from Addlestone.)

As for GM appraisals, this is one I pulled outa my pouch.

>get my lockp from blue po
You get a grandmaster's iron lockpick from inside a blue gem pouch which is in your shadowsilk cloak.
>app my lockp quick
The iron lockpick is made with metal.

It is in excellent condition.

The iron lockpick feels pretty light.
You are certain that the iron lockpick is worth exactly 1224 lirums.
Roundtime: 5 seconds.

figure 1224 Lirums is equivalent to 1530 Kronars or 1104 Dokoras.

In dokora, highest masters I've noticed carving was 1089. Lowest grndmasters was 1095...Like Gonif said, it seems to go in stages...Have carved many of each...Don't think 1090 is a possible number....But those seem the numbers to me.
