Ok, so I am minding my own buisness strolling through Haven pilfering shops. Then I decide to pay the Bard shop a little visit. Check it.

You're taking a big risk.
Moving stealthily, you manage to grab a violin bow right from underneath Chofupi Tibvaov's very nose.
(Roundtime: 3 seconds.)
[Script]>

Chofupi chuckles as a young Prydaen lad comes running into the room, chasing a ball. Grinning and yelling, "Hi, Papa!", the young boy picks up his toy, and dashes back behind the curtain.

Man what thing to do. Now how do I steal from this guy knowing he has young children to support?

Maybe you picked the wrong guild.

Tam, the mostly guiltless.

I'd have gone into the back room and taken the kid's ball too.

Avatar of bardic hope, eh? You play MTG? Respond in irl/den ;)

I used to feel guilty, but then I learned how much traders -actually- made IG, and thus, how much they make IRL due to auctiondr. I realize picking pockets is essentially stealing from many IRL (which is a wonderful loophole in irl law, btw), but that's a condolense, not guilt. :)

Yes, I do point traders out of hiding, and have made 40 plat in 3 days casually because of it. <ducks into a bush before the onslaught of arrows hits>

No, not really. Since the buying and selling of plats for RL money is illegal in the first place. It's like stealing someone's crack.

no, the buying and selling of plats is just "illegal" according to Simu-policy. Under US law, it is not, however, failing to report income from same would get you in trouble with the IRS, and would be illegal.

Remember, they got Al Capone for Income Tax Evasion.

Gotta pay them taxes. :-)

Since it's really Simu's property they're selling, it would be.

You'd need a law degree to interpret that kind of stuff. But when they made games like DR they probably didn't anticipate the trading of IG stuff for IRL cash. Kinda neat to think when I GR someone I might be robbing them IRL. heh.
