I have a problem, and just wanted to see if anyone could help me out. I am currently deployed to iraq and we have internet connection at my office. I work the graveyard shift so there it not alot going on. I'm trying to get dragonrealms, to work on the computer but have been unable up to this point. I'm not real computer savvy so I don't know the deal is, if someone has some tips or something on what I could try I would really appreciate it. If it would be easier to email me directly my email out here is heffeljh@acemnf-wiraq.usmc.mil, I would really appreciate any help someone could give me, maybe someone that's been deployed before and have gotten theres to work? Thanks in advance!
Jason

I work at disney and they have a major security system that blocks most everything. Working at the base I'm pretty sure they may have something like that. I can't check my roadrunner email or log into the game. You may be having this same problem.

What docks? They are out of sight! You suddenly wonder if no one can see the docks...do they still exist?

Ya I think they have a pretty solid firewall up right now, I just didn't know if maybe there was a way around it, someone may know of. I have the root password and login, I don't know if that would help or not, mostly I was hoping someone had bypassed a firewall before and could help me out with it. These 12 hours get damn boring with nothing to do! Singleton1 you army or marine? This is my 3rd hump out here as well. Really cramping my style back in NC too.

Ya just might want to be very careful... Security is a big issue at many places and you could get in big trouble trying to sneak around it. Just a warning, have fun and stay safe ;)

i know that a few years ago when i was temporarily unable to use a computer that i could download stuff to, i was able to still play thru java-access.
i think you can play thru eScape that way now. with any of the other front-ends you can't play past the firewalls cause they require you to download either the wizard or stormfront, etc.

A scavenger troll arrives, scouring the area.
The scavenger troll exclaims, "I dinks I like da' Moongate!"
The scavenger troll bends over and picks up the Moongate. After appraising it, the troll places the Moongate in its frayed knapsack

When you first access play.net, make sure you use HTTPS instead of just HTTP. The "S" will indicate a secure site and most software firewall implementations that I've seen wont filter out encrypted packets. This will "fool" the browser into making subsequent pages from the same domain secure as well (as long as the site supports it), which means that you can at least browse the forums. But try the Java access or eScape anyway, like Gonif said. This works well for me here on night shift at Fort Gordon. I'm going to Egypt though in July. If it doesn't work there I'll seriously be pissed. But oh well, just another perk hidden in the small print of an enlistment contract I suppose . . .
