<<Assassian, Spy, Cutpurse, Beggar, Ghost, Pirate, Ninja (Cause we all konw thieves are totally awesome), Miscreant (spelling?)>>
Most of those are already going to be options.
Hang tight til tomorrow and see what you think is missing. :)

Venom, Lawyer (couldnt resist), Toxicologist, Cat Burglar, Crook, Punk, Spider, Swindler, and Klepto.
And one for those who chose Trader as their chosen pretend guild: Embezzler
Here's all you have to know about men and women: women are crazy, men are stupid. And the main reason women are crazy is that men are stupid.

Many of the really cool suggestions I passed up the line I got from chatting with people in TF. ;)
GameMaster Risek
Thief Development
End User (verb): An act the Computer Support Staff wishes to carry out. (Known variant is "Disastrously End User" depending upon the magnitude of the stupidity.)

That is a great idea! Give us new pretend titles that the other guild doesn't have. Seriously that is a great idea!
>Lawyer (couldnt resist)
HA! (Maybe a pretend paladin title?)

Theres a lot of people I would like to see wearing the Idiot title.

I. suggest magician, or Stage Magician for those that fake WM.
person would also have to have all of our sleight-of-hand abilities.
reasoning behind?
like houdini, and other stage magicians, the Thief does what they do thru sleight of hand, through trickery- the hand is quicker than the eye... not doing "real" magic.
II. Escape artist
Thief must have 200 escaping, additionally, must have escaped at least once from the prison on M'riss.
III. Highwayman
Thief must have 200 hiding, own a horse.
IV. Catburglar
must have over 100 stealing, 100 climbing
V. Bouncer
Thief must have 30 strength, 100 brawling
VI. Godfather
400 stealing, must be wanted somewhere.
VII. Capo
300 stealing
20 strength
VIII. Made man
200 stealing
IX. Gangster
150 stealing
---
A scavenger troll arrives, scouring the area.
The scavenger troll exclaims, "I dinks I like da' Moongate!"
The scavenger troll bends over and picks up the Moongate. After appraising it, the troll places the Moongate in its frayed knapsack

I agree. Actually, I was trying to come up with some good poison titles. Waiting till I get a list to post any besides Venom and Toxocologist though.

<<Toxicologist is a title already.>>
I understand that, but I suggested it before I knew. I still dont know if it was in any post before Risek's because I havent looked that closely at the announcements yet. I know it's not out in prime yet, and wont be out in TF until after the weekend. I'll have to see what my prime thieves will be wearing this afternoon sometime :)

1. Taffer
.... a slang term in their 'First-Person Sneaker' release, Thief: The Dark Project [thief II and thief III also used the term]...
Taffer, insofar as the game environment is defined--is a bastardization of the word 'Trickster', a pagan deity with druidic tendencies. Much in the same way that the interjection 'Geez' in our English language is a bastardization of 'Jesus', the Christo-Catholic Messiah.
No direct denotation is given to the word 'Taffer', but from it's use, we can take it to be synonymous with many different nouns depending on how it's used. It can also be used as a verb: Thief, Fool, Jerk, Joker, etc.
