I decided to play my trader after about a month, and I apparently had lost a caravan. Had no idea, could have sworn I returned it.
Now I owe over a plat for stabling fees...
Now I'm a young trader and haven't seen that much money yet. But Of course, now I don't know how to make any money. I suppose I could scavenge, hunt, etc. But at circle 5..ugh.
Any ideas to get out of this bind? (that doesn't involve somebody just giving me money, which is nice but no fun) Can I trade in another province? Can I trade interprovincially?

Might still be able to sell to Mags, but I doubt it with circle 5. Can sell bundles of pelts and skins for commission. Can maybe hire yourself out as a runner or something for someone to earn a bit of coin or you could hunt. The stables seem to know when you have been naughty (like old St. Nick) but I have never lost a caravan so I am not sure on if you can go somewhere else and trade. I am guessing not. The trader grapevine is fast I tell you.
If hunting doesn't appeal to you, perhaps I know someone who might use a runner or a teaching dummy. <hums innocently>

G'day,
First a reply -

As the guild is the same all over Elanthia, if you have a caravan in storage for whatever reason, you will be unable to get a different one anywhere as the guild records will show you have one already and they don't allow for two animals to be rented, except for kregkeirels and that is likely to change since it causes some problems I haven't been able to track down.
Now and announcement -
The costs to recover an abandoned caravan or pack animal can become pretty large, especially if there is a great amount of time between when it is left unattended and when it gets retrieved from the stables. Since younger traders generally don't have a lot of coin and are likely unfamiliar with how trading works and what one needs to do with their pack animals, I have made a modification to the stabling system to ease the burden on newer guild members. There still can be some charges involved in getting your animal back, but it should be much more reasonable for those under 5th circle.
I'll leave it to you folks to sort out what the change is and how it works.
Regards,
Godrich de'Finchal
