(Sometime in the future...)

After a nice breakfast and coffee at the Riverhaven Guild and my regular pass though the pit to check the daily commodity index, I wonder up the street past the Plaza to Odarien Shipping. Already my team of young traders await my arrival to get their shipping manifests for the coming week as i open the front door to my shipping office. Glancing out the back window i see my stable hands readying my eight caravans for the day and harnessing yaks and horses to each. I make a mental note to check with my contacts in Raven's Point about the long overdue shipment of coal that i can't seem to keep in stock with the new forging societies still springing up. I overhear a young trader in the back of the office "I hope Mister Odarien let's me take the caravan with the new interior... the last one i had just had a tent to camp with. A slight smile crosses my lips as my eye's pass over my old trusty caravan and the team of yak's that have served me for years and that i'm still able on occasion to ride over the many byways of Elanthia. Suddenly the whole building begins to shake... Papers and ledgers falling... a faint voice... "Master Jerde we have arrived"...

I awaken to the excited voice of my driver in the darkened interior of my personal caravan, the dream still fresh in my memory. I chuckle as the caravan driver eyes me oddly and i whisper to my self "One day soon..." I hoist myself off the cot and out of the cabin with contracts in hand and stride towards the Shard depot.

Jerde Odarien
