This has been proposed many times, as early as the day that work orders were released. The only GM response on the topic was that it is NOT in the works, although they do have grander plans for tying commodity trading into work orders

I really don't understand why turning in a work order can't give the same small boost in trading exp that you get from a sale in your shop (which is pathetically small but it adds up over time). Seems so easy to add, so highly requested, doesn't hurt anyone, and just plain makes sense to do
