Greetings,

This week is a fluff question...been a long one for me...so didn't have much left to think with.

Reality shows...love em, hate em, indifferent...discuss....

Indifferent to most...hate a lot...specially the bachelor kinds and do watch Survivor still if I remember it's on and do like The Apprentice.

Reality shows are second on my list of things that will make me leave a room. They are right below Pro wrestling, Which is actually probably more realistic than "reality" shows.

Reality shows should be banned from TV and those that came up with the idea should be drawn and quartered

Survivor is one of my favorite shows on TV, and I watch every episode. There are a couple other reality TV shows that are decent and I'll watch them if they happen to be on and I have nothing else to do (or I have very important stuff to do that I want to procrastinate) - Amazing Race isn't bad, Fear Factor is mildly ok, Extreme Home Makeover is pretty cool (when they do the families who really deserve it), Blind Date is pretty funny (for the unintentional comedy, mind you). Maybe there are a couple mildly decent ones that I'm forgetting, but the rest are absolutely terrible for the most part.

I watched the first season of Survivor and have sampled a few others that looked somewhat interesting. I enjoyed the first Survivor quite a bit but haven't watched the others. Most others that I sampled were rather dull and I'm never one to believe that you'll find love on TV, especially in those conditions. So I've only watched 1 reality show and doubt I'll watch any others in the future.

I like Survivor too and usual catch most of a season that is showing. But my ultimate favorite is the Amazing Race.

My enjoyment of reality TV is directly tied to the amount of booze I've consumed ...

No booze ... blech.

Some booze ... there's a TV around?

Moderate booze ... who's that?

Good booze ... this is getting interesting.

Lots of booze ... ooooh, are there really gonna ... wow!

Hammered ... hey, this is pretty cool, what's on next?

But then that's pretty much my opinion of TV in general. After nearly 16 years of living without, I now am living in a household with a TV ... and got bored of it again after a weekend sick and stuck with the stupid thing. 'Puters are sooo much better. If nothing else they're cheaper. Hammered takes a bit of cash.

Reality TV, hmm? Well, I watched most of the first season of Survivor. I gave up after that.

Law & Order is the closest I get to "reality shows" any more. :-)

I never considered 24 as a reality show? Its based on a screenplay and plot without claiming to be not scripted and has actors that are acting. Reality shows that are spin offs of survivor are actors pretending to not be actors and following a script that the reality shows claim dont exist.
