Hi!

>>3) Quality of life updates where and when I can.

I love quality of life changes. Here are a few quick idea of the things I'd love to see:

- Speculate Coin defaulting to the creature you are currently facing without being required to specify which creature. With the current design it gets very confusing with lots of creatures in the room (and outright fails if a creature walks in the room between when you assess and throw the coin)

- Some sort of ability to summon a caravan between a hunting ground and stable. Caravans are already designed to be somewhat useful while hunting, but absolutely are not worth leading a slow caravan from the stable all the way into a hunting ground

- OMG please some items that will actually teach appraisal worth a damn at 1000+ ranks, maybe they could sell in the Trader shop or something

You can try, but I've got higher priorities for a fair bit.

I don't remember the exact details, but I was pretty sure the previous Trader GM made a lot of grand plans regarding contracts and commodities. It sounded really neat. Is that still on the table?

Does this mean that GM Socharis is no longer doing trader things?

Last time I spoke to Socharis, he still had plans for updating those. As was said when he talked about them before, any work would be done AFTER the X3 stuff wraps up.

>Does this mean that GM Socharis is no longer doing trader things?

Not at all. He is heavily involved in X3, though, and that has his full attention.

Reaffirming what Zadraes said - I plan on continuing the work I have planned for trader things, but X3 is the highest priority right now.

Actually, a clockwork caravan might make an awesome auction POC.

I had a steam-powered ironclad one for the April Fools thing, but I was new and didn't know how to stable it, so I lost it :(

Not sure about normal feedbags, but I'd like to re-request self-filling feedbags as a high-end festival item, lower-end quest item.

Does this include the old type feedbags (shoulder worn).

I'd like a way to adjust the feedbags, like the bundles. Pull feedbag: it cycles through wear on shoulder/belt/thigh, etc.

I would still like to see the table for selling items on caravans, how long til that might be out?

Could younger traders possibly assist in shops by being able to sit and learn trading during sales so the shop could be open after regular hours, even if they couldn't move/reprice items?

Please make more events where we can help with delivering supplies like they did a long time ago at past fests?

Are you also working the shops? I'd like to be able to customize some signage and stuff soon.

Thanks!

For now, I don't have plans to get too involved with the existing shop mechanics. Socharis knows those best, though I'm sure in time I'll get to know them as well, they just aren't a priority for me at this particular time.

Keep offering ideas. :) I like having big lists to work from.

I started looking into this. That's an interesting ability, in more ways than one. Sticking to the original request for the moment, I have a question. Given the following options, what's the preferred choice:

1) ONLY defaulting to the creature you're currently facing.
2) Keep it as it currently is (must specify target).
3) Both.

>>3) Both.

This. As someone who doesn't have access to code, I don't personally think anything else makes much sense. It should function like any other attack: not specifying a target defaults to the critter you're facing, specifying one targets whatever you specified.

Ideally it would work where just typing SPEC COIN would default to the creature you're currently facing, and typing SPEC COIN <target> would override the default and instead throw at <target>

If that is too difficult for unspecified reasons behind the scenes, #1 sounds fine to me as long as you meant "defaulting to the creature OR PLAYER you're currently facing", and not that it would specifically only work on creatures

I'd like it to work similarly to a TM spell - if spec coin by itself, it would hit critter.

For Player Characters, would have to specify target <name>.
